To say I love the Pat Mcgrath makeup is an under statement but boy is it expensive. The Pat Macgrath Bronze Seduction palette is the most expensive palette I have ever bought but I love it. Of course being the most famous makeup artist her palette's weren't going to be cheap. What I can say is that the packaging is beautiful and the pigment of the eye shadows are gorgous quality and will definitey go a long way. In this post I did a quick easy bronze eye and finished it off with a contoured and highlighted complexion.
Been busy testing out a couple drugstore brands Revlon and Maybelline to see if I can acheive a flawless complexion. Here I combined the Revlon Colour Stay Full Cover Foundation which is matt and the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer. I am absolutely in love with the concealer it works a treat its definitey good bye dark circles. The foundation actually looked good on my skin but it may not be good for everyone. When I wear a matt foundation I make sure I have really hydrated my skin with a good skincare routine. The trick is that skin doesn't dry out.
For those of you who are not keen on a heavy base and a touch of something the Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint could be for you. Its not got coverage like any of the other Chanel bases its literally a tint. Its super sheer with the pigment suspended in 75% water. The packaging and the brush is what definitely makes it costly but if you feel like a splurge then try it out. Perfect to add a touch of glow to the complexion.
On my trip to Europe last month I treated myself on some makeup goodies for the first time in ages. I either get makeup to review or I buy makeup for my kit. The Nars Skin Deep Pallette plus the Natasha Denona and Fenty Beauty goodies are all for me. I am definitely not sharing those with the models I work with. The Nars palette is so pretty with warm neutral matt shades and then some gorgeous shimmer shades. I love the rust shade so I went with that for this makeup look.
Coming our way on the 24th June the Clarins Open Your Eyes Wide Makeup Collection. My favourite item is the 4D Mascara I literally reach for this one every day as its just so amazing for my lashes. The collection consists of the mascara, ombre's and eyeshadows in different textures, waterproof liners and brow pencil. I didn't get my hands on the brow pencil but I did get a sparkle shadow instead. I am also obsessing over the liner, I got the Blue Orchid shade which is a fav colour of mine and makes my eyes really pop.
Swiitch Beauty have launched some new stuff and I got to play around with all the goodies. I have been busy testing on myself and on a recent shoot and I have to say I am pretty impressed. The new Swiitch squiish makeup sponge is definitely one of my favourites as it applied foundation, concealer and blush beautifully. What I love about Swiitch Beauty is that they make everything so affordable for all those makeup junkies out there.
If you haven't checked out the latest palette from Urban Decay you are seriously missing out. Its by far my favourite of all the Naked palettes with such pretty shades. Introducing the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette (R695) perfect for most skin tones. If you are a dark skin tone then the Naked Heat Palette will work best. The Naked Reloaded has warm tones you can use all year round and perfect for day to night. Its my current go to palette for myself with all the shades perfect for my brown eyes.
For all you Chanel lovers out there here some new lippies to check out. Thanks to the lovely Sarah from Prestige Cosmetics I got to test out 3 of the Chanel Coco Rouge Flash shades. If you want to see them in action head over to my instagram Shahnaz Loves Beauty I have created an insta stories Chanel Lips folder with me showing swatches and applying my fav shade Ardent. The lipsticks are super hydrating and glossy on the lips and just feel and look amazing.
Introducing RVB LAB makeup brand by Diego Della Parma which not only has a makeup range but also a skin lab as well. The brand is Italian if you hadn't heard of it which I actually hadn't before testing, My first impressions I was super impressed. I thought the easiest way to show case was to create a look and see it in action. Sadly the foundation was too dark to test on myself but on feeling and blending its creamy and dewy. I absolutely love the Urban Jungle Palette and I love the quality and colour pay off.
When it comes to choosing a base I love one that gives a glowing complexion, doesn't look heavy and skin still looks like skin. If that's your preference too then you definitely need to check out the Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation. Its been on the market for a while I just hadn't had a chance to test it out until now. I have been using Mac Face and Body on my models but after using this I am def going to add some into my pro kit I love it that much.
