Marie Claire Working It Editorial
My latest editorial with Marie Claire is all about taking the Tuxedo and breaking it down. Its all about how to wear the fabric of the season and mixing pieces to fancy up your work wear. I kept makeup really simple to match the structured pieces of the clothes. The models eyes were contoured with a beautiful shimmer on the lids, brows were bold and skin dewy. You can add a lip as it would work perfectly with the strong pieces but for this shoot we kept it nude so it was more feminine.
Satin is one of the key pieces for the season so you can make it pretty or you can make it cool depending on where you work and whats your style. Its feminine with a touch of structure and everyone needs that white shirt as their staple piece.
We all need that little black dress in our wardrobe and there are so many styles that work. You can make it more masculine with your shoes or keep your dress srtuctured and super feminine and strong. The white detail of the dress is really contrasting to the black and gives something different to your outfit. Your hair styles can change for this look I love the pretty pony tail but with wispy pieces to make it really pretty.
The new tux is definitely a key fashion statmenet this season with so many colours and textures to play with. It has a looser fit but make sure its tailored. If you don’t want to be too smart you can dress it down with a vest or make it cool with some leather. Its definite a more smart casual approach. Hair can be worn down and textured to give it a different look or the feminine pony either way you are going to look hot.
