Last week I got to attend the Maybelline launch showcasing 4 key trend looks with new Maybelline makeup launches coming our way in SA. Makeup artist and Maybelline ambassador Linda O’Connell talked us through the trends and what products to use to achieve it. I luckily got to snap the model’s up close to show my readers how amazing the makeup looks and. Maybelline are all about the IT looks so here they are and here is what is coming our way:
Is all about the bold matt lips that have a buttery velvet texture with the Vivid Matte Liquid lippie (R109.95) and come in 8 gorgeous with electric pink shade definitely being one of my favourite as seen on the model. Its a wet to dry lipstick that has an amazing colour pay off that looks amazing on the skin. To finish off the whole look Linda used the Master Contour 2-1 highlights and the Master Ink liner to get right into the bed of the lashes and enhance the eyes.
Make Drama Happen:
This trend is all about the focus on the dramatic effect of the eyes using the new and really amazing The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara (R150). Its like you have false lashes giving amazing volume and length without clumping the lashes. The wand is rubberised and smaller than the previous wand so it acts like its cleaning the lashes. The model second in from the left has the mascara on her lashes and the look consisted of the dream velvet foundation which Linda applied with fingers, master brow gel and baby lips.
Make Vamp Happen:
Its all about the bold dark lips in poisonous plums but also bold eyes using the Lash Sensation mascara (R149.95) . The new mascara has oils to protect the lashes and will be coming our way in September. It has a scoop effect to really get right in there and create a gorgeous effect. The look was created with the vivid matte liquid lip, super stay foundation. Rule of thumb is that we either focus on eyes or lips but this trend its about both.
Make Rebel Happen:
This trend ia all about the clumped chaotic lash using the Collosal Go Chatic mascara (R139.95) in stores already. Its about the more chaotic the lash the better so hen you apply using a tweezer to clump the lashes together and cake it on. To finish off the look Linda used the BB cream foundation, Superstay 24 HR nude Lip Duo and the new Master Blush that I am loving. (Model is seond in from the right).
Watch this space this week when I will be posting some pics with me getting ready for a night out will be showcasing the new falsies, velvet matte liquid lip and blush.
