I have been waiting to do a post like this for a while and now I have the lovely Tegan taking my pics I finally had the chance. This post is my 5 minute face with a red lip thrown in because it just lifts my whole look and makes me look so fresh. Even Tegan couldn’t believe how fast I did my makeup its been perfected over time especially when I have 2 kids to contend with every morning. I am one of those girls that doesn’t faff around for hours on makeup. My goal to look fresh and healthy with a glow thrown in.
So first up with my gorgeous Chanel foundation brush (thanks Sarah from Prestige for this bad boy) I mix in the Bobbi Brown Illuminating Balm and Prevage Anti Ageing foundation. They are my go to’s at the moment and if you missed my post from last week click here to learn a bit more about the winning combo.
After foundation I conceal where needed which is under my eyes, around the nose, chin and between my brows. I love love love the latest stroke of perfection concealer from Elizabeth Arden. Its creamy and so hydrating and really covers up those imperfections.
As you know I can’t live without bronzer its my everything. I use it to contour under my cheekbones and my forehead and blend into my neck. If I am looking a bit pastey then I add more on my face to give some more colour. I am totrally loving the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Give The Sun. My best brush at the moment to apply is My Kit Co defining contour it contours like a demon.
Just realised in this shot I have mascara on my hand HA HA sorry about that. Mascara is item no 2 that I can’t live without. The Benefit Bad Gal Mascara is the bomb click here to see my full review if you didn’t catch it already.
Can’t have a 5 minute look without some Chanel makeup and their blushes well they are always simply gorgeous. Here I have gone for a shimmery peach to add some extra colour to my face. This blush is the Chanel Joues Contraste in Elegance its the perfect shade of peach.
Skin looks pretty good and that’s without any lippie on yet!!!
For me a reds lip is the ultimate it just works for me. Don’t get me wrong I love bright lips but red is just perfection. This red lip was kindly gifted to me by Mac South Africa and it is my favourite red at the moment (sorry Ruby Woo). Its the Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in Feels So Grand. It has great staying power and is doesn’t try out the lips too much. Apply some lip balm before you put the lippie on.
And voila my 5 minute face thats fresh and modern and makes me feel pretty good. As you can see I didn’t fill in my brows I just for some reason don’t like it on me but of course most people do so you can just add that step in.
