Beauty Glow Tips and Favs

Hi my lovelies and Happy Monday. So today’s post is all about my beauty glow tips and favs with my current skin and makeup favs. It changes all the time but the principles are always there same. A good skincare routine is always at the top of my list when it comes to the glow. If you follow me on my instagram Shahnaz Loves Beauty you will see it’s a key topic of mine. Good skin means makeup will look amazing because skin has been prepped properly. If you don’t hydrate your foundation will look flat and dull.

Here are my Beauty Glow Tips and Favs:

A Cleansing Balm really is such amazing way to get skin glowing and hydrated. I love them at night to the makeup off as well but they also leave skin feeling and looking amazing. The Elemis balms are ridiculously good for this I am literally obsessed with them. My new fav is the Superfood AHA Cleansing Butter it leaves skin looking glowy and brightened. Key ingredients are Pumpkin and Acerola Cherry for that fresh faced glow.

A resurfacing toner like the Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic helps gently exfoliate the skin and brighten your complexion. Its become a key part of my beauty routine and lives in my Chick Cosmetics Skin Bar. The tonic stimulates the skin to naturally exfoliate, Lactic Acid and Willow Bark extract work together to smooth, tone and help reduce the pore size, while Azelaic Acid precursor will brighten and help to even out skin tone for the perfect glow.

Every morning I apply a coupe of face mists first up is either the Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray or the Esthederm Eau Cellulaire Mist. Both use a being water that has soothing properties and are so hydrating as well as help with skin that needs soothing. The Avene mist is more for sensitive skin that is also in need of hydration. The Esthederm Mist is said to be as powerful as a serum due to the unique properties of the water. I love them both. I also apply a mist with more active ingredients at some point in my skincare routine whether it’s in the middle or end or even after makeup has been applied. A face mist is an amazing way to add extra glow to the skin. You can go as affordable as the Swiitch Beauty Superhero Glass Edition (brightening) or the Superhero Dewy Mist (hydrates and calms). I absolutely love the Mac Fix + Mists but the Magic Radiance thats next level for me infused with one of my fav ingredients Vitamin C. I also love the Pixi Glow Rose Mist which is infused with antioxidants and makes that skin glow.

A good serum is also key for the glow, hydration and brightening my go to is Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and Niamincide. I absolutely love the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Vitamin C Capsules the glow on these ones are through the roof. The Vichy Mineral 89 Skin Booster is affordable and is infused with 89% of their Spring Water and Hyaluronic Acid. Its like adding a shot of hydration to the skin. I also use Lamelle Vita C Lipid and Brightening Corrective Serums for glow and brightening.  This is all for my personal routine dependent on what my skin needs. When I am on shoots I vary it up depending on the model but they normally have amazing skin. Another great love of mine is the Becca Skin Love Glow Elixir described as a “fountain of glow in a bottle”. Its radiance-boosting with a soothing blend of honey, algae, and peony extract, Plus moisture magnets like sodium hyaluronate and licorice. An antioxidant smoothie of blueberry extract, cranberry extract, resveratrol, and vitamin E shield delicate skin from the glow-dulling effects of free radicals.

When it comes to a serum you are looking for active ingredients that will help brighten and lighten for the glow. A few key ingredients to look out for Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Rose, Papaya, Niaminicide, AHA’s, Vitamin C, Glycerin and of course some botanical extracts as well.

I do love a sheet mask for that extra hydration. If skin needs that extra love and a quick pick me up a sheet mask is going to be your best friend. It can be confusing as there are so many on the market. Again look for the ingredients and you definitely can’t go wrong with Korean sheet masks either. Definitely check out Glow Theory and Buttercup Beauty they have a great selection for all skin concerns. Hayat Beauty have their gorgeous GloGetter 24K Mask for some glow and hydration. Skin Republic is another goodie for a quick glow fix I love the Youthfoil sheet mask for a shot of Hyaluronic Acid for a luminous complexion.

If you are struggling with a dehydrated complexion then add a couple of oil drops into your moisturiser or straight onto skin. I like to pat the oil into my face and let it really absorb. Skoon Glow Drops, Squalene and Vitamin Rosehip C+ are a winners, Petrichor Oils Skin Repair, Mac Prep + Prime Essential Oils Grapefruit and Chamomile is also amazing. There are loads on the market and the list is endless these are just a few favs of mine. I also like add an oil at night so that when I wake up my skin is plumped. You need to definitely try the new Nuxe Bio Organic Ultimate Night Recovery Oil. My skin is glowing and radiant after a nights sleep with this on.

We all know highlighters are my obsession. I literally can’t get enough of them. I love balm textures, liquid highlighters, jelly ones and powders forms. For affordability definitely check out Elf Cosmetics the jelly and liquid highlighters on Shop Betty I totally love them. The Chanel Le Baume Essential highlighters are so good but on the luxury side. My current obsession is the Ofra Glow Up Palette its got all she shade and the finish is beautiful. As well as the Stila Heaven’s Hue highlighters the finish is beautiful. Revlon have really up their game with Skinlights highlighter stick and powders when it comes to the glow. The new Mac Strobe Glaze highlighters are also a new obsession. I love to use on the key points ion my face and even on my eyes to gloss up and eye look.

Illuminators and glowing primers and moisturisers are another great way to add glow and boost a dull complexion. I can’t get enough of the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser its a glow in a bottle. With Illuminating micro-minerals to impart a subtle radiance, Fermented Green Tea Seed Oil leaves skin feeling nourished. Revlon have a great glow primer the Photoready Prime Plus and its really affordable and totally brightens up the complexion. I am absolutely in love with the Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid for an absolutely radiant complexion. I could literally go on and on but these are currently faves of mine.

For the ultimate body glow you need to check out the Eco Diva Shimmer body butter. Its so nourishing and really makes the body look so amazing. Milla is seriously glowing in this pic. Plus I wasn’t shy on application.

Get your glow on this week.
