glowing complexion

I am absolutely obsessed with a glowing complexion. Its my go to on shoots and its why I get booked on jobs. Of course skincare is the major factor in getting that glow.  If you don’t take care of your skin your makeup will NOT look great. As well as a good routine I love to use illuminators mixed in with foundation to really go that extra mile. They really do add the extra GLOW. Beautiful skin just brings all the makeup  together. What I love about an illuminator is that not only do they add extra glow they have skincare benefits as well. So its really a win win situation.

I have lots of illuminators in my makeup stash because I am a bit of a glow junklie. Today I am chatting about some firm favs of mine. So here is my list and why I love them so much:

Ole Henrikson Banana Bright Face Primer: This primer is just absolutely stunning as not only is it a primer that will keep your foundation on longer. It also has a stunning gold undertone that really makes the complexion glow so beautifully. I actually discovered the primer by chance from another makeup artist @namvo on instagraam who is known for her glow. Its a Vitamin C powered illuminating primer that delivers instant radiance. Infused with the must have Banana Powder and brightening pigments that makes you look oh so glow.

Becca First Light Priming Filter: Instantly brightening makeup primer that refreshes dull complexions using Cool Light Technology. Infused with vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, this lavender primer applies sheer on most skin tones to smooth and prep for makeup application. It gives a subtle glow to the skin that I absolutely love making the foundation look amazing.

Mac Strobe Cream: The origional Mac strobe cream has been around a long time. When Mac bought out the different undertone creams I was so happy. I love the Goldlite and Peachlite they really add that extra glow and dimension to the complexion. The creams are the ultimate quick fix for skin. Super-powered with potent botanicals, they boost the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin with nutritious vitamins and a mega-dose of green tea. Brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants. Adds the softest glow to skin in sunlight to spotlight.

Mac Fix + Pinklite: This face mist can be spritzed before or after makeup to get that amazing glow and hydration to the skin. The new formula is now infused with pearlescent pearls for that ultimate glow, but still carries all the hydrating, soothing and refreshing benefits of the original version. Skin looks so radiant and healthy. They are also great to mist thought out the day if makeup needs a refresh and you just want to add to that glow.

Bobbi Brown Illuminating Balm: This balm is a real go to for me in my pro makeup kit. As well as seriously hydrating it adds such a stunning glow to the complexion. Its not only super hydrating but this illumintor leaves the most beaautiful golden glow to the complexion as you can see below on my model. You an use the moisture balm as a moisturiser, mix in with foundation or use as a cream highlighter and apply on the key points of your face.

With these two models I wanted to show you how gorgeous skin can look with combined skincare and an illuminator. Skin looks healthy and radiant and has that lit from within feel. On shoots I like to use mac face and body foundation because its more sheer. However its too sheer for me to personally because of my pigmentation. However an illuminator mixed into your foundation will give you the same glowing finish.
