Last week I chatted about some Mac repurchases that I can’t live without in my kit and its definitely one of my top brands when it comes to my pro kit. After seeing Harry Makes It Up chat about her top 10 Mac products I decided to share mine. My list is pretty different to Harriet’s with maybe one or two products that are the same. So here is my top 10:
1.Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in Lightscape: Its one of those highlighters that really adds that extra luminosity to fairer skin tones. I love to apply this skin finish to the top of the cheek bones, along the bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow. It makes skin look like its been lit from within. LOVE
2. Mac Pro Conceal and Correct Palette: I litrally don’t leave home without the 4 concealer palettes in my pro kit. There is pretty much a shade for every skin tone and its creamy which means it just blends into the skin. Taking away redness, dark circles and dark spots but making skin still look like skin.
3. Mac Mineralise Moisture Foundation: Its a top favourite foundation of mine and looks amazing on the skin. Perfect for that dewy healthy glow with a medium coverage and amazing to use for every day and especially on shoots. This one never lets me down.
4.Mac Editorial Reds Pro Lip Palette (includes Ruby Woo lipstick): Mac literally have it down when it come to lipstick shades especially their reds selection. I have about 10 of the lip palettes but the red pro palette is definitely the favourite with the best seller ruby woo, as well as russian red and lady danger. Can’t go to a shoot without it.
5.Mac Lightful C Marine Bright Formula Essence: When it comes to amazing looking skin this is a must in the beauty regime for gorgeous glowing skin. Plumps and hydrates so when it comes to applying base skin looks incredible.
6.Mac Face and Body Foundation: Its definitely a cult product for makeup artists because its light but evens out skin tone and makes the complexion look natural but also giving a youthful glow. Amazing to apply on the body without transferring onto clothes so perfect for swimwear and lingerie shoots to give the illusion of a healthy tan on the body.
7.Mac Eyeshadow in Saddle (warm neutrals palette): I love tan eyeshadow for contouring the eyes as well as creating an every day look to make the eyes pop. Its a great shade for that natural look but also looks amazing paired with a bright lip so you can dress it up or down. Also a goody to contour as its a matt bronze shade so can double up to work on the complexion as well as the eyes.
8.Mac Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum: You gotta love a bright pink lipstick. This shade is a definite must have in any pro kit and your personal stash. Its a blue/pink shade that really brightens up the complexion even if you aren’t wearing any base. Its great for a lot of skin tones and an easy way to light your look. Perfect with lots of mascara and a touch of contouring.
9.Mac lip pencil in Brick: If you are going to wear a red lippie or you are a makeup artist you need to apply a liner first. There are quite a few Mac red lip pencils including Ruby Woo. The brick lip colour is that in between red shade that you can work with lots of red lip shades to trace your lips to ensure your lippie doesn’t bleed but also blends really well with all my red lipsticks.
10.Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack: Out of all the gel liners I have tried this is my favourite. It lasts for hours and glides on beautifully to create a graphic eye or that feline flick. Its never let me down on a shoot yet.
