I literally just got back from London catching up with family and friends and adding some new beauty items for my personal stash and my pro makeup kit. I try not to buy too much when I am away because I have so much makeup already and being a beauty blogger and makeup artist means I get a lot of makeup coming my way. So if I am going to invest then it really needs to be worth it. So here is my UK beauty haul:
Top of my list was the Giorgio Armani eye tints as I literally can’t get enough of them. I already had in my pro kit but I wanted to be some more so I didn’t run out over season and I added in the darker chocolate shade in no 10 as it will look gorgeous adding extra definiteion to a sultry smokey eye. The tints are perfect to add on top of your eyeshadow to add that gorgeous shimmer to the eyes and really make it pop. Not cheap buy any means but really gorgeous quality and well worth the investment.
While sourcing at Selfridges I also bout one of the Giorgio Armani fluid sheer skin illuminator in this gorgeous gold shimmer shade no 13. Its literally like liquid gold that melts beautifully into the skin and gives that gorgeous highlight. Apply the highlighter before you apply your liquid foundation and then apply on top to really layer the product and get that lit from within skin.
I am always on the look out for good liquid liners and my radar was on the new Nars eyeliner stylo. My go to look these days is the feline flick it just looks modern and really just works for me. This liner is like a felt tip pen that glides on beautifully and doesn’t budge once applied.
I hit the Kiko Milano store to see what they had on offer and I absolutely loved their duo blushes in this gorgeous packaging. I love blush because it really adds that gorgeous flush to the complexion especially when you need a pick me up without going to crazy with colour. The Kiko blush cocoa shock in sweet coral and aprocot was my favourite as I love these shades for my complexion whether its winter or summer. This blush duo will be staying in my personal stash so sorry models I won’t be sharing.
I was pretty excited when I came across the NYX pro lip cream palettes they are a definite dupe for the Mac pro lip palettes and they literally have palette for palette. Reds and nudes are always a must in my pro kit so rather than getting new mac ones I opted for these bad boys that won’t break the bank. So let’s hope that they will come our way in SA.
I absolutely love BareMinerals especially since I started using the complexion rescue that is a must in my pro kit. I literally wanted to buy so many of their new products but that one that stood out is the new Skinlongevity Vital power infusion serum. I love it and have only just started using it. My skin feels so amazing after I apply I have the most amazing glow goin on even before I apply anything else. Infused with the superfood the legendary herb that comes from a vitamin and mineral enriched soil enriched. Defiinitely an amazing serum that gives that gorgeous youthful glow we all want. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
