Another week of launches, shoots and new products to play with. So here is my week and the highlights all crammed into one post:
Bobbi Brown finally has its own stand alone store in Cape Town in Canal Walk, I attended the launch this week where makeup artists and beauty editors attended. The shop looks beautiful and its a place where you can go and experience how to work Bobbi’s 10 Step beauty, or go an experience a makeup lesson and learn how to make yourself look beautiful.
This week has been all about launches, on Monday I was flown to Joburg for the Vichy and Redken launches to find out what’s launching in 2014. I am excited to try the new Redken hair primer and Extend your blow dry products so watch this space as I will be testing out on set.
60’s lashes was the order of the day for the Elle Style for Less shoot, the reference was a modern day muse but with the makeup having a 60’s feel. The model Gina had the perfect face to work this look. It was all about a thin line on the top lash with lots of mascara and then bottom lashes were applied to really open up the eyes. Finished off with fresh skin thanks to Benefit Oxygen Wow Oh So Flawless foundation and a nude lip.
Mac Trend Forecast Fall 14 Lips is the latest lip palette from Mac, its the first time these have been available in South Africa as I have only ever been able to get the palettes in the London pro store so I am very excited that they are available here. The palette is 6 shades that are trend colours from the fashion weeks around the world, from frosted sand to a bright coral shade and 2 deep shades which are Crushed Cranberry and Boysenberry which is the beautiful purple.
I have been playing with Gosh Berry Me Polish this week, it’s their latest winter colour a beautiful purple/red shade retailing at R79.95. Its a great trend shade that would look amazing with a fesh dewy face, lots of mascara and a berry lip. The polish has a beautiful finish and doesn’t streak when applied and a large brush making application so easy.
Hope you had an amazing week.
