My Week: Matt Foundations and Bronzing it up with Smashbox
Another week of beauty has flown by with lots of makeup drops and lots of amazing products from some of my favourite brands. April has flown by and can’t quite believe its May already. As always here are the highlight of my week all packed into one post:
1) This week I have been testing out the Elizabeth Arden matt version of their flawless finish foundations, the Flawless Finish perfectly satin 24HR foundation. Its light with a hydrating feel to the skin but with a matt finish and a flawless looking complexion. Its in stores already but watch this space for a full review next week.
2) Clarins new Garden Escape makeup collection hits stores this month, I got my makeup drop with a big smile on my face. The collection really is so beautiful with a gorgeous 6 shade palette the Garden Escape, a pretty pink blush, Instant Light lip balm perfectors, lippies and lip oils which I just can’t wait to show you all. Will film a tutorial using the products so you can see them in action.
3) My hair and makeup work for local brand Poetry came out and its all about a mystical world behind the door. The look and feel for the shoot was big wavy hair and lots of highlighting on the skin to give a mystical feel with a smokey eye to create a contrast against the model’s pale skin. I used some of my fav products the Nars Sheer Glow foundation, Revlon Skinlights, Mac mineralise skinfinish in Lightscapade to get the skin looking amazing and one of my Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palettes to create the smokey eyes.
4) I am loving all the new products from Smashbox and there are quite a few this month coming our way. This week I have been playing around with the Bronze lights warm matte powder and the L.A Lights lip and cheek sticks they are gorgeous especially Venice beach bronze which I am going to be applying as soon as I lose my tan.
