As soon as I was asked to take part in the Ruby Box review for the new Avene Hydrance Optimale. I jumped at the chance. I absolutely love the French skincare brand so I knew this would be a goodie. For those of you who aren’t a massive fan of makeup this is definitely one for you. It goes hand in hand with the amazing Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray leaving your complexion hydrated and glowing. Just how I like it. Its super light on application and literally feels like you have nothing on. LOVE.

Avene

I am not a fan of wearing much makeup in the day so this product works perfectly for me. I was a little sceptical as the cream is a pink but when blended in it totally matched with my skin tone. I have shown a before and after. Yes I am a little scary without makeup on but you can see how the Hydrance Optimale really works. My complexion is totally evened out with a gorgeous subtle glow. I spritzed the thermal water spray on first and patted down with cotton wool and then applied the hydrance optimal with my fingers to activate the pigments.

The key benefits of the Avene Hydrannce Optimale:

  • Hydrates using 2 actives that ensures the diffusion of Avene Thermal Spring Water and prevents evaporation.
  • Protects with a 30SPF against harmful UV rays.
  • Enhances by the combination on mineral pigments and illuminating pearlscent pigments that corrects the skin tone immediately.

Available at Clicks or Dischem retailing at R199.95 its definitely worth the investment. Available in 2 textures light for normal to combination and Rich for dry skin. I can’t say if it works on all skintones but Avene promises it works on most. It definitely works for me so a big thumbs up.
