I feel like its Christmas every time I get goodies sent to especially when its makeup. This post is all about new makeup from Clarins including the amazing contour palette that I already posted a while back. If you didn’t get a chance to read it then click here to check it out. The makeup is a lot of metallics when it comes to the eyes with the focus on greys and a pop of pink thrown in.
The clarins limited edition face contouring palette (595) is perfect because its a 3 in one. You can just pop in your bag and touch up any time of day. Its got the subtle highlighter, matt bronzer for contouring and a pretty pink blush to add a pop of colour to your cheeks. LOVE.
The 4 colour eyeshadow palette in no 5 smoky (R535) is all about the grey’s and a pop of black shimmer. Perfect to create intensity on the eyes or as I like to use it as a liner on the top lash line. These palettes are a wet & dry palettes. So either apply the eyeshadow staright on with a blending brush or wet the shadow and voila a totally different texture. The wet texture actually works better for me as I try to stay away from to much metallics on my eyes. As you get older the fine lines appear and I just feel it doesn’t compliment me so well. What I would do is once I finish the look I would just add the metallic to the centre of the lid to make it pop.
There are 3 new Ombre Iridescente shades (R320) that as you can see are super shimmery. The silver rose (which my daughter is obsessed with) is perfect to add to a look in either the inner corner of the eyes, pop onto the lids for intensity or even just sweep across on its own. The silver white can be used to highlight the brow bone or add into the inner corners to makeup your eyes pop. Last up the silver grey can be worked in with the smokey palette to add an extra pop or just swept over the eyes by itself.
I absolutely love the Clarins 4-Colour-All-in-One Pen eyes and lips (R495) its quite genius really. You can choose one of four shades just like a biro. The pen has 4 shades to choose from a chocolate brown, cobalt blue, black and then a nude for the lips. I love the chocolate shade to enhance my eyes its definitely my go to for every day. The black of course you can create your graphic eye and the cobalt blue well I just love that colour so its perfect for me. The nude can be used to fill in all of your lips and its really a gorgeous shade for me.
For this look I wet the black shade from the smoky palette to create the line on the top lash line. I then wet the darker grey shade and blended into my crease. I took white shimmer shade from the smoky palette and applied to the inner corners of my eyes and my brow bone to highlight. I used the face contour palette to highlight, contour and then add a flush to my cheeks. I wanted to keep my lips subtle so I just used one of the Clarins lip oils to create a gloss look.
