New Makeup from Max Factor
Loving the new makeup from Max Factor that landed on my desk this week. I am a massive of fan of mascara’s and eyeliners. As they are the quickest and easiest ways to enhance your eyes with really minimal effort. Mascara is literally my go to product for me as my lashes are really a bit on the sad side and I do love a chocolate eyeliner. I am always drawn to chocolate eyeshadows and liners as its my fail safe. Especially when it comes to my personal makeup and makes my hazel eyes pop.
In the new collection there is a double ended eyefinity smokey eyeliner pencil (R135.95) with both black charcoal and brushed copper. The copper shade is my new best friend as it glides on beautifully and just totally compliments my eyes. The pencils have a waterproof formula that lasts the distance. The Excess long wear eyeliners (R115.95) come in 3 shades I got my hands on the excessive brown which once applied doesn’t budge. Perfect for those nights out on the dance floor. There are 2 x-pert waterproof liquid liners in the collection deep black and metallic anthracite ( a shimmer grey). These bad boys once applied don’t smudge or budge and glide on. Love love love.
The Excess volume mascara (R209.95) has two applicators one for extreme volume and the other for darker laquer. I really like the finished result as it gives good volume to my lashes. Apply 3 coats of the volume mascara and then one coat of the intensifying laquer that seals the lashes. The mascara comes in black and brown plus the volume stays all day long. The best way to remove is using an oil based remover as I find mascara just doesn’t come off completely if you are using wipes.
In this pic I have applied the brushed copper eyeliner on my top lash line and bottom waterline and the excess volume mascara on my top lashes. Its such a simple look but just enhances my eyes and literally takes a couple of minutes out of my day.
I have yet to play with the new Max Factor Ageless Elixir Miracle 2 in 1 foundation and serum (R254.95) as the shade was too light for me. Will definitely be testing on on models over the next few weeks. But what I can say is that it blends into the skin beautifully when applied to the back of my hand. My skin felt really hydrated and it has a good coverage. The built in serum promises to transform tired looking skin and help reduce the signs of ageing.
Last up is the top coat lip balm (R155.95) that instantly hydrates your lips. Can be worn on its own or over a matt lipstick. I love the glossy finish it looks like a clear gloss but without all the stickiness. Also a great natural highlighter that could be an Elizabeth Arden 8HR dupe. Apply on top of cheek bones and on the lids to create that natural gloss effect.
The new makeup from Max Factor is stores in Jan 2017 definitely a must try and great staple products for your personal makeup stash.
