Last week I started my Nimue 12 Week Challenge in the hope that after the 12 weeks I will see a massive change. The program promises that after 12 weeks of using the selected products day and night plus 4 facials I won’t have to wear any makeup. Now this is really a big promise as I never leave home without a bit of base. My skin comes under the classification as hyperpigmented. I have pigmentation from my pregnancies plus lots of freckles and sun spots. I also get dehydrated and have a tendancy to breakout on my chin area.  The challenge costs R6000 (real value R7200) to take part although lucky for me I get to take part for free and report back to all my followers.

So how does the challenge works?

I got my skin analysis done by a spa near me that works with the brand. From there they decide which challenge will work for you. During the 12 week process you receive 4 facials which are basically non invasive peels plus a mask and all the rest. Each week you need to upload your pic to see progress and by the end of week 12 your skin should be WOW. Each box comes with a selection of day and night time products with the Exfoliating Enzyme acting as a mask as well as an exfoliator (in my box).

The packs come with an instruction book to explain when and how often you use each product but if you need anymore help then you can always ask the therapist that will be doing your treatment. Chantal from CPT Body Works in Claremont was so helpful and gave me some extra tips on how to work products like the Exfoliating Enzyme. Plus my facial was amazing with brightening and hydrtaing effects from the peel and the anti-ageing mask.

Here are the different skin concerns that the salon works out for you to make sure you get the right box:

1) Environmentally damaged:
Premature ageing or photo ageing resulting from a history of cumulative exposure to environmental factors.

2) Hyperpigmented:
Skin that presents an uneven skin colour influenced by internal and external factors.

3) Problematic:
Classified as skin with oiliness, breakouts, enlarged pores and congestion.

4) Interactive:
Suitable for skins that manifest temporary sensitisation due to ill health, medication and skin resurfacing procedures.

I am already into my second week the first week my skin felt amazing but after having the facial I have had some breakouts on my chin but that just could be my skin getting used to the products and the intense facial. My skin after the rejuvenating facial looked amazing. Here is a pic I took after the facial with minimal makeup on my way to dinner:

So let’s see how this challenge works out. If you want to see my progress I will be loading an Insta Video on makeupshahnaz each week. This week my skin is not the best but will be chatting about which products I am loving so far.
