Revlon have really surprised me so far this year with some great products launching from the mascara’s to the lippies. I am totally loving the Revlon colourstay that has now been introduced as a compact form. The liquid version is their top selling foundation so it makes sense that they are now offering the cream version. What I love is that its a 2-in-1 with a concealer (R299) as well so you can pop in your bag and off you go. Plus if you struggle with a shiney complexion you can pat down with the super light colour stay compressed powder.

I am definitely a liquid foundation kind of girl but every so often I am suprised by a compact foundation. If you love that no make up makeup vibe and want your skin too look really natural then you will definitely love the Revlon compact. The best way to apply is with a sponge or a kabuki brush like the Sigma F80 that you can push into your skin rather than work with your fingers. Its definitely more a semi matt foundation that still leaves your skin looking really healthy without the shiney look of a liquid foundation. To create a fuller coverage build up the product with the brush until you have the finish you need. If you struggle with redness and dark spots a cream foundation is usually the best bet.

I love that the concealer is part of the compact, to get the seamless coverage use a blending brush or pat the product in with your fingers. Its got the same creamy consistency as the foundation and covers dark circles really well. Pat the concealer under your eyes, blend where there is any extra redness and around the nose. To make your lipstick really pop take a blending brush and apply the concealer around your lips this willmake your bright lipstick really stand out.

I am never a fan of a powder but there are some people that really need to set their foundation especially if you have an oily complexion or you have combination skin. The Revlon colourstay pressed power (R199) is really light so it doesn’t look cakey on the face. If like me you don’t need powder just apply to the concealer under the eyes. If you struggle with an oily complexion apply on your forehead, cheeks and chin this will keep the product in place and last longer.

Love this Revlon Colourstay 2-in-1 compact as its super light and great for evening out the skin tone. If you struggle with dry skin then its definitely not for you because its semi matt but perfect for all other skin types, plus it won’t break the bank.
