Yes this post is a touch late but literally since I got back from holidays I haven’t stopped shooting and running around so as I always say better late than never. September was spent on holiday for a lot of it and a lot of new products to play around with. So here is the products that made the cut and I used the most:
The Skoon Overnight Hydrating Mask is definitely one of my new favourite products, I took it with me on holiday as was great for my skin especially that had been in the sun all day. It feels quite thick when you apply but in the morning my skin feels amazing. The mask has an intense moisture repair blend of organic coconut and wildflower honey plus Nordic marine extract to help trap the water molecules. You can’t buy this product yet but you do get it as a free gift when you purchase a Skoon product over R500.
Nivea Rich Nourishing Moisturising Cream is not new by any means but I just love it, I use it for myself and on all the models. Its just one of those creams that works for everyone and makes the body look like it has an amazing sheen to it. Infused with Almond Oil and Hydra IQ that is a deep moisturiser leaving smooth and soft skin. Its a goodie for when you have been tanning especially when skin gets really dry and a great budget buy.
Dermalogica Protection 50 Sports Suncreen is one of the best sunscreens I have used so far, its light and non greasy so you can use on the face even if you are sweating. Its water resistant for about 40 minutes so you can swim and not have to worry plus skin is seriously protected because we didn’t burn at all and we were sunbathing every day.
Terenzo Liquid Shampoo and Moisture Rush Conditioner has been created by Terenzo hair salon in Kloof Street Cape Town. I got the hair products to test out and report back on what I thought. Now I struggle with dry hair as I blow dry my hair about 3 times a week so its important my haircare is for moisture and dry/damaged hair. I definitely can’t live without a conditioner and the moisture rush has been a winner because its vitamin enriched and leaves my hair silky and rehydrated.
My Lee Stafford Arganoil Nourishing Miracle Mist was purchased at Boots while in London because I realised I left my hair oil at home, the brand is available in South Africa so fear not. After washing my hair I still need an oil to really help nourish my hair especially since I use heat, with this spray its easy I just spritz about 5/6 sprays from the tips to the middle and then blow dry my hair. Its light weight so my hair doesn’t feel greasy and leaves my hair feeling beautiful and shiny
Nars Milady Blush is one that I have had for a while but have started using again, sometimes it gets to a point that you have so much makeup you forget what you have. This blush is a subtle peach with a bit of bronze and just totally lifts my complexion. Perfect with paler complexions or when you rocking a tan.
The Billion Dollar Brows gel is perfect for rocking the natural brow and keeping them groomed with a gorgeous glow or once you have filled them in to set them and make sure all the hairs are brushed upwards and stay in place all day long. If you going for the no makeup makeup vibe then take the gel and apply in and upward motion and voila gorgeous looking brows.
