This season its all about masculine suits for women with a touch of a feminine touch thrown in. If you are embracing the masculine trend then its important to add the makeup to have a little contrast with the clothes. In this Elle magazine fashion editorial I did the makeup but had both girls but giving them both a different look that should inspire you on how to wear your makeup id you decide to embrace this trend.
The first girl we chose a berry lip using one of my favourite lip shades from Mac Hang Up as its a perfect shade of a deep berry that looks amazing on. I kept her eyes fresh using the shade Hey from the Mac warm neutrals pallette and then added a white shimmer shadow from urban decay on the centre of the lids and through the crease of the eye I used a taupe shade to create definition. For the highlighting and contouring I used the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette and applied the blush from the palette on the cheeks as well. For her foundation I used the Mac Face and Body to keep her skin looking really dewy.
For this model I worked my Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette in Vintage Vamp which has deep reds for the eyes and created a dramatic smokey eye and kept her lips nude using the NYX soft matt lipstick in Abu Dhabi. For her foundation I used the Bobbi Brown stick foundation and contoured using the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette.
The editorial shows us how to wear this trend from smart suits for the office to the more casual every day look. Work the trend with a hat, or some simple accessories to add that feminine touch.
