I wanted to chat about a few of my favourite Chanel beauty products today especially for those thinking of splurging but not sure what to get. Of course their eyeshadows are lovely and basically everything Chanel is lovely but here is a little selection. I have selected mostly makeup items but also with one skincare product too from the Hydra Beauty range. For me makeup is all about good skin that’s contoured and glowing so that’s why I have chosen the makeup items in this post. Chanel have quite a few foundations to choose from and it can get confusing what to go for. Here I have gone for a dewy one but their latest matt foundation is also amazing. It really depends on what look you are going for.
For the foundation selection I went with the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra Light Skin Perfecting (R835). I bought this one for myself because had heard lots of good about it and wanted a luxury liquid foundation. I personally love a liquid foundation because I love a glowing face rather than matt. However if you are looking for matt the Chanel Ultra Le Teint All Day Comfort Flawless Finish foundation is lovely. If you didn’t check out my previous post click here to read all about it. The foundation is a more sheer coverage but you can build it up with your foundation brush. I couldn’t show it on me here as I currently have a tan and the shade is too light but will show on insta stories as soon as my tan has faded.
The Vitalumiere Aqua leaves the complexion looking really radiant and does even out my skin tone. For any extra coverage that’s where concealer comes in handy. Skin looks healthy and glowing but still natural. I am not a fan of heavy makeup skin needs to look like skin. The “High Definition Light” pigments help give the appearance of an even and luminious complexion. Plus it contains hyaluronic acid that adds that hydration I love.
Next up the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel (R760) cream makeup bronzer base I had this ages ago to test out and actually bought myself a new one recently. I am all about the bronzers but have been using powders actually for ages. A cream texture really helps give that feeling of a skin kissed complexion and one that you can really blend into the skin.
With this base you can wear it with our without foundation. Layer it underneath your foundation or on top and blend blend blend. It has a matt finish but because its cream it really works with the liquid foundation.
Now I have been chatting about the Chanel Le Baume Essentiel (R775) in previous posts. I featured it in a post recently for an overall makeup look. I have chatted about it on insta stories and if you go to my Shahnaz Loves Beauty insta account you will see a highlighters folder and see it in action. Its like a gloss highlighting balm that gives a beautiful natural glow to the skin. You can use straight onto skin without any base if you just looking for a glow, layer it underneath foundation or over. Apply on the eye lids to add a gloss if you looking to rock the glossy lid trend.
I have really been loving creamy texture blushes recently and invested in the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick (R925). It adds a gorgeous glow to the cheeks and feels like silk on the skin. Its perfect for that healthy flush when your skin needs a pick me up. You can even swipe some on your eye lids for a little pop of colour.
Last up the Chanel Hydra Beauty Masque De Nuit au Camelia (R1390) which is their hydrating Oxygenating Overnight Masque is gorgeous. The hydra beauty range is amazing if you looking for hydration which is a key skin concern of mine. The masque is a cream that you apply on at night and sleep with it on. When you wake up skin feels plumped and super soft.
Its an overnight mask that, after transforming into dew-like droplets, helps skin to oxygenate during the night. My complexion has a lovely glow and looks rested. I absolutely love it. I often struggle with dehydration and when I feel my skin really needs it then I reach for this one.
Will be chatting about the new Chanel eye collection in the next couple weeks so watch this space.
