Some Smashbox Makeup Newness
Smashbox are hitting us with a whole load of new makeup products this month to brighten up the complexion leaving you looking sun kissed with a pretty pout and a flush on the cheek. I love this brand as they are always right on trend and constantly bringing new products our way.
You all know I love me a bronzer so I was so excited to get to play with the new Smashbox bronze lights matt bronzer (R390). Its the same design as the powder foundation that came out a few months ago and I LOVE it. Its super light and blends into the skin beautifully making your complexion sun kissed. This will definitely be a product that I will be using throughout winter to make sure I look really healthy. Infused with photoset minerals that promises to last up to 8 hrs with a natural finish.
To add a beautiful shimmer to your complexion and add highligts where you really need it the Smashbox fusion soft lights in Baked starblush (R360) is perfect. It will help create that lit from within looking complexion that is a big Spring Summer 15 trend. Its a subtle shimmer that will add pops of colour and give the illusion of healthy looking skin. Swirl your blusher brush and dust over cheeks, temples, nose and temple as well as collar bones to add a healthy shimmer.
The Smashbox L.A Lights blendable lip and cheek sticks (R320) are a big favourite of mine. I have already been testing out on shoots perfect for a pretty lip and a natural looking flush on the cheek. I got my hands on 3 of the shades Venice Beach Bronze(bronze shimmer), Silver Lake Sunset(peach nude) and Beverly Hills Blush (pink). The bronze shade is perfect for creating a healthy looking glow to the skin similar to the charlotte Tilbury Ibiza stick and create to contour all over the face. The other 2 are perfect to create a healthy looking flush on the cheeks and a natural lip and all you need to do is use your fingers. The texture is really light weight and really adds a luminous glow to the complexion and then on the other side of the stick a sponge to help you blend into the cheeks.
Last up the gorgeous Smashbox Be Legendary Matte lipsticks (R240) really are amazing. Matte is definitely a big trend right now with with a lot of makeup brands introducing them over the last few months. The texture is light weight and glides on beautifully, with a hydrating formula of shea butter and Vitamin C and E to stop your lips from drying out and protect at the same time. From left to right here are the shades I got: Mulberry, Paris Pink, Magenta and Fireball.
In this pic I have use the matt bronzer and the Be Legendary matt orange lipstick in shade Fireball to create a healthy looking glow and brighten up my complexion:
Here I have used the fusion soft lights in baked star blush on the top of my cheek bones and up to my temple with the L.A lights lip and cheek stick in silver lake sunset on my lips and cheeks to create a healthy but natural looking complexion:
All the products get a massive thumbs up from me and will definitely be going in my pro kit and a few in my personal stash.
