I love when brands release new products and I am loving these new balms that offer a matt version and laquer version. I got my hands on one of the matt versions and two of the laquer versions.
The matt balms have a velvety matt look but are moisturising like a lip balm. The balms have a triple complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango Butters nourishes lips. I love the balm as even though is matt my lips still feel great and it glides on beautifully when you apply. They are launching 5 shades that will stay permanently on the shelf and 5 one time shades. Sadly the shade I am wearing Showy is a one time shade so if you love it as much as me then you will need to buy a few.
The Laquer balms have a medium buildable colour pay off, and the finish has a high shine finish and highly moisturising on the lips. Plus they all have a peppermint Frangrance and feel refreshing on the lips as well as hydrated. I am also loving the price of R120 so a great budget product with on trend shades.
Watch this space for video tutorial featuring the balms. Love them and definitely going in my pro kit.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
I have blogged about the Bourjois Healthy Mix Radiance Reveal Foundation a lot and have used it in my video’s a lot and I LOVE it. However I never tried the the Gel Serum Foundation why I don’t know. The radiance foundation was sold out so I bought this one instead and am happy to say I LOVE it even more.
It glides onto the skin and has such a beautiful dewy finish and really feels like you aren’t wearing anything. Definitely in my top 3 budget foundations I have tried so far.
The Gel serum foundation looks really natural which I personally love I don’t like too much make up especially for myself and I love it when your skin comes through. Definitely one I will keep using again and again.
Hope you enjoyed my post. Will be posting my top budget foundation picks soon.
I was recently watching some behind the scenes videos on Youtube and came across the Maybelline channel. I have been wanting to try out the Colour Tattoo shadows for a while but just never got round to it. After watching the product being used backstage for fashion week I fell in love immediately. They are easy to use and look beautiful. Sadly not all the colours are availble in SA so I got my lovely friend Charissa to send me some from New York.
I used the Bad to the bronze shade on my beauty shoot yesterday by applying with my fingers on the lid and all the way up to the brow bone. Here is the lovely Emma from my shoot:
I absolutely love the texture of the cream shadows and they glide on beautifully and are long wearing cream shadows that don’t crease and are highly pigmented. A lot of cream shadows crease and don’t have the staying power but this one does. I always used the Mac Paint Pots but this definitely competes with the paint pots. The shadows are budget winner for me and are going to be a key staple in my pro make up kit.
What I also love is that the lighter shade Barely Branded can also be used as a highligter which make it even more of a budget buy as you can use it for both eyes and highlighting. Happy days.
