Introducing the latest new Chanel eye collection that launches in SA this month. I got to play with one of the Les 4 Ombre’s eye quads in blurry mauve, the waterproof stylo in Black Wood and Le Revolution Volume de Chanel mascara in Burgundy. The whole collection has 4 beautiful quads to choose from and then you choose the liner and mascara to match. The collection was created by Luca Pica and its all about second skin smokey using just 3 products. Its all about self expression and playing with colour. I love the colour mascara’s as it really creates an alternative to the usual black.
Chanel Les 4 Ombres – The Latest Shades
Oh how I love Chanel makeup. Yes its definitely a luxury brand and is expensive but when you are looking for quality and a little spoil these eyeshadow palettes really are beautiful. I always love the shades and this season Chanel have bought out 8 Chanel Les 4 Ombres new palettes in SA of which I got to play with 2.
I have already blogged about Tisse Camelia as part of my March essentials and used in the Elle magazine 18th birthday shoot because I just loved the colours so much.
The new Chanel Les 4 Ombres palettes were inspired by tweed which is the iconic fabric used by Chanel. With a new formula, which makes the shadows soft and longer lasting, with new colour effects and intensity. Concentrated with pure pigments, the soft texture makes the shadows so easy to blend, leaving a luminous finish. The idea of the Les 4 Ombre palettes is to create different looks from the more natural to a full on smokey and different shades can be combined so you can either use one shade, 2 together or all 4 and have fun with the makeup.
Here is an example from Chanel on the natural to smokey eye building up to an intense eye:
Here is the ways to work the palette Tisse Riveria to build up to a beautiful blue smokey eye. I started with the Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Smoky Grey liner on the top of the lash line and blended in. I then applied the grey shade along the lash line and into the outer corner of the eye up to the crease.
Here I am applying the blue shade on top of the grey to start building intensity.
I tool the illuminting light pink shade and applied into the inner corners of the eye.
I took the black shade and worked in with a blending brish in the outer corner of the eye to really create the intense smokey eye.
I finished off the look with the grey liner in the waterline and then lashings of mascara.
The new shades are available now in stores retailing at R700 so if you love Chanel you are going to want to get your hands on one of these beautiful Chanel Les 4 Ombres platettes.
