I love nothing more than a healthy glowing complexion. The Chanel Les Beiges collection just has it down when it comes to the glow. The Healthy Glow Foundation isn’t a new foundation but its one I really love for a flawless complexion. The new Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid is absolutely stunning. Combine these two together and you have a beautiful glow.
The foundation really gives a natural glow to the skin leaving skin looking like skin. Its a beautiful texture that melts into the skin leaving skin to breath freely. Infused with Kalanchoe extract and UV filters protect the skin from harsh environmental conditions. As well as a “Healthy Glow Booster” mineral pigments that deliver a healthy glow. Together with Soft focus powders, they even out the complexion and enhance it. I love it.
The Sheer Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid is my personal fav at the moment. I love to mix it in with the foundation to get that overall glowing complexion. For those of you that know me I am all about the glow maybe a little obsessed with it. There are two shades sun kissed which I got its a soft golden shade that totally illuminates the skin. As well as Pearly Glow its definitely one for the paler complexions.
You can either mix with foundation or layer over your base on the key points of your face. I love to do both because my motto is glowing skin is always in. If you really want to go to town on the glow you can also add in a little of the Chanel Le Baumes Essentiel.
I know Chanel is definitely pricey but the quality is amazing when it comes to the foundations and highlighters. Available at selected Woolworths but hurry up they selling out.
For those of you who are not keen on a heavy base and a touch of something the Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint could be for you. Its not got coverage like any of the other Chanel bases its literally a tint. Its super sheer with the pigment suspended in 75% water. The packaging and the brush is what definitely makes it costly but if you feel like a splurge then try it out. Perfect to add a touch of glow to the complexion.
In this video I play around with some of the new Chanel makeup to create a really easy every day makeup look. This video is the Chanel Cruise Collection Makeup Tutorial where skin looks sunkissed with this pretty shimmery eye. The collection includes my favourite healthy Glow Les Beiges powder (R900) that is perfect to create that bronzed look all year round. Its a beautiful collection that you can take your makeup look from day to night.
Anything Chanel launching I am always excited and when the delivery man comes with a box from Chanel my day has literally been made especially since the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is finally here. If you don’t know anything about the Les Beiges line its all about healthy glowing skin which started out with powders and then some gorgeous bronzers and now the foundation is being added to the family. For those of you based in SA its heading your way on the 19th Feb so you better put that date in the diary if you want to go test this one out. There are 12 shades in the collection so hopefully there is one for you, it comes in a 30ml pump bottle and retails at R785.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid and Multi Colour Powder
From the moment the Chanel Les Beiges Heathy Glow powders came out I had to get my hands on all of them and I have included in video’s, blogged endlessly about them and use them on myself and on shoots. When I heard the fluid and multi colour powder was been added to the collection well you can just imagine I needed these too!
The 2 latest editions are meant to recreate the freshness of the skin in the great outdoors, creating radiant and luminous skin:
The Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid SPF 15 is all about becoming one with your skin tone. Instead of correcting, when massaged into the skin it melts and leaves a healthy radiant glow like a skin illuminator. The all in one healthy glow fluid helps moisturise the skin and enhances the skin’s texture.
The combination of powder and soft focus gel softens the skin’s inconsistencies and reveals the skin’s radiance. A hylaluronic acid derivitive delivers an instant sense of hydration all day long. With natural cotton and white rose floral extracts, paired with an SPF of 15 the fluid gives protection against the sun and pollution.
The fluid has fruits accents of white peach and watermelon and the floral heart of the fluid is jasmine, poppy and cyclamen over a white musk tone. The Les Beiges Healthy Glow fluid comes in 6 shades from 10 – 60 which is an extra shade to the powders. I have shade no 30 which is a little to light for me as I have a tan at the moment but the powder helps with ading more colour. The fluid can be worn alone if all you looking for is a hint of something and then the powders can be used to bronze up the skin. Or you can use a base for foundation which I have also tried and my skin felt hydrated and fresh all day.
The Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi Colour Powders comes in 2 shades I got my hands on the no 2 which is the more bronzey shade. These multi colour powders are a trio of shades one is for highlighting, one for contouring and the one I have the third shade is the bronze or aternatively the multi colur powder in no 1 has a pink blush. The formula of the powders are enriched with Shea Butter, as well as protective anti-pollution ingredients like Vitamin E, natural cotton and white rose floral extracts. The powder can be used all together to create a luminous glow to the skin or as I mentioned in different ways, by mixing the highlighter and medium shade or mix the medium and darker shade depending on the effect you want to create.
In this pic I applied the fluid in no 30 onto my face with my fingers and then applied the highlighter on top of my cheek bones with my fingers and then with the brush I applied the medium and dark shade under my cheek bones, down my neck and onto my forehead to give the illusion of a healthy natural glow and of course I added a touch of concealer under my eyes.
Both launch on 12th May the Chanel Les beiges Healthy Glow Fluid retails at R620 and the Multi Colour Powder is R805. Yes they are expensive and definitely a luxury product but they are amazing in quality and well its Chanel right?
Chanel Les Beige Healthy Glow Powder Review
So a while back I posted about the new Chanel Healthy Glow Powder. Well after much searching as it sold out in lots of places I managed to get 4 shades 20,30,40 and 50. The lighter shades for the face and the darker for bronzing or contouring. So I tried them out properly today I love them!!!!! They are expensive so definitely a treat or great as a present. The powder can be worn straigth onto your skin after moisturising or on top of foundation and then the darker shades to create a healthy glow. Normally I only use translucent powder but really love this new technology of powder.
I opted with foundation first as I have a little pigmentation and wanted more coverage. The great thing aboputbthis powder is that its matt but your skin glows and it looks natural. I moisturised and then added my Estee Lauder Illuminating Serum in the areas I needed most. I buffed in a small amount of liquid foundation as I wanted to keep it really light. As I have a tan I used no 30 with my Mac buffing brush all over and then contoured using the fan brush that comes with the powder to create that sun kissed tan with no 40. Then finished with mascara.
Not the best picture but you get the idea!
Hope you enjoy the post. x
