The gorgeous Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Lipsticks landed on my desk last week and boy are they pretty. I am definitely a Chanel girl though and though and when it comes to the lippies I can’t get enough. I got to test out the 3 new beautiful shades of which one is the Rouge Allure Ink Fusion the pink/red shade and the gold and berry shade are the Allure Ink. All gorgeous quality that look so pretty on and are so easy to apply. I love the lipstick packaging with the frosted glass case that just feels really luxurious.
This week is definitely a red lip kind of week with all these lovely products landing on my desk to test out. I shot for Glamour Magazine for their January main fashion editorial and the theme Studio 54. Each girl had a different look to make them all individual. For Fran I went gold eyes and a bold red lip using one of the gorgeous new Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks. Red is one of those colours that will always be on trend and makes everything look chic, pretty and so out together. Plus what’s a studio 56 look without lipstick and a bit of Chanel???
For all you Chanel lovers out there Chanel launched the new Rouge Allure Lipgloss and three new Rouge Allure shades to get you Spring/Summer ready. I got my hands on the candy pink shades for both you can either wear on the own or apply the gloss over the lipstick to get that intense shine that is so bang on trend.
Now I am a big fan of the Chanel lipsticks so am always happy to add to my collection. The latest colours have something for most skin tones the pink being better for the paler skin tone and then there is a chocolate and a deep blackcurrant shade for the darker skin tones. They launched in stores yesterday and as you know Chanel isn’t cheap by any means retailing at R495 so either you think of it as an investment or bribe your man to get you one.
The glosses come in 11 shades ranging from the nude, all shades of pink, orange, plum, red, chocolate and blackcurrant. I do love Chanel packaging and with this gloss you click the bottom and out the gloss pops so its pretty fancy. The shade I have on its own is not an intense colour because I have a tan at the moment, but if you apply over the pink lipstick then it will give you some lucious looking lips. These glosses retail at R505 so if you buying both its a big investment. You may just want to go for a darker shade like the Pirate Red which will be a more intense colour on the lips without the lipstick but if you going to pay that amount of money for a gloss you really have to be a Chanel fan.
The gloss does have an intense shine due to its combination of film-forming polymer and glass microbeads which creates that lacquered effect, while enhancing the lips and giving them a plumper appearance. Ingredients such as Sappan Wood, Matcha Green Butter and a Vitamin E derivitive to keep lips smooth, antioxidants to protect the lips and emolliant oils to maintain the hydration in the lips.
