Elizabeth Arden is a brand that continued to impress me time and time again in 2018 with both their makeup and their skincare. The Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Liquid Lip Laquers came out at the end of last year and I did chat about them on social media. But I saved the post to start out the new year. The lipsticks have a different finish to the previous ones we have seen. The finish is intense and there are 5 gorgeous shades to choose from. There is a shade here for most skin tones but sadly missing a red lets hope they get one in the range soon.
There are now 3 new finishes the Lacquer (intense and non sticky), Cream (rich and satiny) and Gloss (soft shine finish). I got to play with the new lacquers and really love them. Here I am testing out the shade Seductress its a pretty pink raspberry shade that really suits my complexion. But I also love the Coral Infusion shade I am all about the bold colours especially when I am rocking a tan.
The Liquid lip lacquers are really hydrating that apply so easily onto your lips. The colour pay off is really great so you don’t have to apply a million layers to get the full effect. Each lippie comes in a really unique applicator where you have to click to release the lipstick. The applicator is a sponge that is shaped perfectly so you can apply easily all over your lips.
Introducing the Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Ageing Foundation that is brand new to the Prevage family. The Prevage range is kmon for its high end skincare. So its exciting that they have now added a foundation to the range. It landed on my desk last week with a new serum and moisturiser so a total spoil. I was very excited to try the foundation and yesterday was the first opportunity I got to test it. Anything anti-ageing is always winner for me as I am trying everything to make sure that my skin stays as youthful as possible.
I always love when any new makeup lands on my desk especially when its a new mascara because as those of you who regularly read my blog this is one item I can’t live without. Elizabeth Ardens latest Grand Entrance Mascara gets a big thumbs up from me and will definitely be going in my personal stash. The Flawless Start Instant Perfecting primer will be heading our way in March. So for those of you who struggle with oily skin and hate that your foundation doesn’t last the distance this primer may be the one for you.
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish and Highlighting Perfector
As soon as I heard the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish and Highlighting Perfector was coming out I was very excited as their makeup products are right at the top of my list and I wanted to see if they were anything like the YSL Touche Eclat pens especially as its almost R200 cheaper retailing at R245.
There are 5 shades available from 2 – 6 going from light to dark. They promise to be a multi tasking beauty tool that instantly corrects, highlights and illuminates the skin. The moisturising formula brings tired eyes out from the shadows, minimising the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. This pen helps conceal imperfections, accent brow bones and cheekbones and adds a touch of radiance to the skin.
They are definite pick me ups, as yesterday I looked exhausted all day. I came home and refreshed my foundation before going out and as you can see below I applied the pen under my eyes, along the brow bone, on my smile lines and around my mouth where I felt I need highlighting and concealing. (I already did the other side).
I then took my foundation brush and blended in as well as using fingers to leave my skin looking pretty flawless and beautifully highlighted. I actually don’t look tired and my fine lines that were visible in the day have been concealed. The product is very easy to blend and melts into skin so a big thumbs up for me especially as its such a great price in comparison the the YSL Touche Eclat. You can apply with absolute precision to the areas where you need, I didn’t apply to cheek bones as I had another highlighter on but that is another area where you can use the pen.
I love the Eizabeth Arden Flawless Finish and Highlighting Perfector packaging it comes in a beautiful gold pen which has a click to dispense the product so there is no wastage and makes it easy to apply. You can pop in your hand bag and apply when you feel you need a glow to your face. They are defintely staying in my kit but of course one will be in my pesonal stash.
