Its that time of the month again when I chat about all my beauty favourites for the month. This month yes I am on time unlike last month where it was half way through this month. Its all about beautiful glowing skin using face mists and highlighters as the key items and a few other bits thrown in. I wish I could have shown you the new Estee Lauder Double Wear 24HR Foundation that I am wearing. I am waiting for the full size as just got a sample to test first to see if its the right shade. But I will be shouting all about it in the next week or so. I tried to wear as much as I chatted about in the favourites video so you can see for yourself how it looks.
If you haven't already heard Mac have brought out 4 new Mac Strobe Creams to create gorgeous glowing complexions. I managed to get my hands of the three of them and have already tested out peachlight on a beach shoot last week. As well as the creams they have inroduced powder versions so this summer or even your winter your skin will be good to go. Mac are always bang on when it comes to amazing glowing skin and this time its even better. Skin gets dull really easily so if you need to cheat your way the strobe creams/powders are a perfect way to do it. Their irridescent pearl particles give that lit from within look and antioxidants to protect and hydrate your skin.
Seems like I just filmed my September beauty favourite's video time is going so fast. In my October beauty favourites I chat about a mixed bag. Of course with makeup being the main contender as I am surrounded by it due to my job. I have been playing around with some new goodies that I have purchased. As well as some goodies that have been sent my way to play with. Its definitely a month on taking care of your body as well as your complexion. With oils and deep nourishing products being the order of the day.
Yesterday I filmed a video with Elle magazine to chat about the new La Mer launches and see what a typical day for me is between being a makup artist and a blogger. Even though I have a tan going on at the moment I still felt tired and needed a pick me up for my look and what better way to do it than with a bold lip. I kept my makeup look really clean focusing on my skin, lashes and lips.
With my wedding renewal coming this Saturday its all about prepping my skin and making sure its glowing for the day. Which means I am upping my beauty regime but also making sure I am exfoliating so when it comes to having my makeup done my skin will hopefully look great. The lovely ladies from Juliette Armand sent me the Exfo Line Mask (R390) to test out and offer one of my lovely readers the mask to try out too. It actually came at the perfect time because its perfect for prepping my skin before the big day.
A couple weeks ago I met with one of the Clarins girls at the V&A Edgars stores to learn a little more about their foundations and which one would work for me. I love a dewy foundation and because my skin is in pretty good condition I needed a foundation that would give me some coverage but that wasn't full coverage and could let my skin breath. The conlusion Clarins Skin Illusion foundation was perfect for me plus the Eclat Minute Instant Light Perfector too add natural highlights where needed on the face.
We all know I love Smashbox as a makeup brand and its definitely a brand that I have in my pro kit and has never failed me on a shoot. The Liquid Halo foundation was always one of my favourite's but now with the new Smashbox BB waters out I definitely think I am going to go buy myself all the shades and add this to my kit.
After filming a makeup tutorial with Camilla from my favourite SA bloggers All Dolled Up, myself and Jules filmed a summer favourites video. Its all about glowing beautiful skin and our favourites skincare and makeup products for summer. Even though summer is almost finished the sun is still shining for a little while longer.
Now if you looking to get your glow on and give a little love back to your skin and don't want to break the bank then the Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist and Overnight Serum-in-oil is just what you need. Living in the sun can be pretty harsh on the skin so ingredients like Vitamin E and C and are definite must throughout the year. Even if you are in winter right now these ingredients are a great way to restore your skin after all the damage caused by the sun.
