The No Makeup Makeup with Bioderma Photoderm MaxIf you are struggling with the crazy Cape town heat and can't bare the thought of slapping base on your face then you may love the idea of the tinted sun block. There are already a few on the market but I have to say I am totally loving the Bioderma Photoderm Max 50+ for that no makeup makeup vibe with a hint of coverage and complete protection from the sun.
A couple weeks ago I met with one of the Clarins girls at the V&A Edgars stores to learn a little more about their foundations and which one would work for me. I love a dewy foundation and because my skin is in pretty good condition I needed a foundation that would give me some coverage but that wasn't full coverage and could let my skin breath. The conlusion Clarins Skin Illusion foundation was perfect for me plus the Eclat Minute Instant Light Perfector too add natural highlights where needed on the face.
I love attending the Mac trend workshops with Michelle Lee because its the one event that really covers the key makeup trends from fashion week and some of the key products used to create the magic. Its a revealing season with lots of feminity and beauty, a cleanse in makeup where its all about light, luminosity and lifestyle according to Michelle Lee SA's pro senior makeup artist.
I got to take part in this amazing Fresh Face shoot with Marie Claire SA magazine in December with the most amazing coats and amazing girls. The brief was the no makeup makeup look with dewy skin and enhanced features. I was lucky that I got to work with some amazing new faces and some oldies too like my best Sam Laskey.
Its been a while since I have used the Mac Face and Body foundation but its one that I have found I am reaching for over this hot weather. There is nothing worse than foundation feeling heavy on my skin and this week with temperatures up to 37 degrees I want my makeup to be really light.
