My fight against pigmentation is my main skin focus right now. After having kids, being on the pill and working outside on shoots in a hot climate my skin has suffered for it. Hyper pigmentation is so hard to get rid of but I am determined to win the battle. I looked back at pictures of myself about 6 years ago and my skin was pretty flawless. It was definitely me being slack with keeping my face out of the sun plus not enough sunscreen. The South African sun is harsh and its definitely something I didn’t pay enough attention to.

For those of who have been following me I have introduced Retinol into my skincare routine. Not sure why I have waited so long to use it but so glad I have. Retinol is so key for healthy skin its known as the anti-aging superstar. Its a key ingredient for addressing various skin concerns, from wrinkles, uneven texture, breakouts and hyper-pigmentation. Retinol promotes skin renewal, brightens skin tone, reduces acne, and boosts collagen production. If you are like me and are really struggling with any of these skin concerns consult a dermatologist. This is where money needs to be spent rather go for something that has a higher concentration.

I started using the Environ Focus Care Retinol serum a couple months ago and even had my first Retinol facial. The skin takes time to adjust to retinol as there can be side effects. Each step helps the skin adjust while the Retinol dosage increases. I have been on Vitamin A for almost 2 years slowly increasing the dosage on my skin. Retinol will definitely take my skin to the next level and am taking the next steps with Lamelle over the next few months.

While increasing my Vitamin A on my skin I have also introduced Lamelle to help combat the pigmentation. The aim is to stop any new dark spots from forming and to lighten them as much as possible. My hope is that I can get rid of it completely but lets see what happens. With that in mind I introduced the Lamelle Ovelle D3 supplements bit 6 weeks ago. An anti ageing pill that deals with preserving collagen, elasticity but also hormonally induced pigmentation and the appearance of malesma. I am so excited to see the amazing effects over the next few months.

I can already see the pigmentation has started to break up on my cheeks. There are definitely no dark spots forming and they seem slightly lighter. I just need to make sure I really protect my skin from the sun and wear SPF 50 daily.

I introduced the Lamelle Correctives Brighter Serum into my routine a while ago. It contains a combination of melanin inhibiting ingredients and potent antioxidants to help reduce the formation of dark spots. Key ingredients such as Decabutin inhibit melanin production without affecting cell damage and sun sensitivity. The Ferulic Acid is a potent anti oxidant that fights against free radical damage. Ingredients like Tumeric plant extract inhibit pigmentation production and Licochalcone A is anti inflammatory and soothing to the skin. It super hydrating as well so skin feels amazing and radiant after application.

I am excited to announce I have been sponsored by Lamelle and Loveit Spa to help with the battle against pigmentation. I have already started the full skin journey almost 3 weeks ago. I am purely using Lamelle for my hyper pigmentation and have been the last 3 weeks. Over the next 4 months I  will be chatting weekly about my progress and the products. I have already had my first anti-ageing peel and in the next couple weeks will be having my Lamelle pigmentation peel. Super excited for this and can’t wait to see the results.

As well as incorporating the supplements and brighter serum.  I have introduced the Lamelle Luminesce range (for pigmentation and melanoma), the Helase 50 sunscreen and Vitamin C serum into my skin routine So fingers crossed it all works. My skin is definitely looking really healthy and really glowing just like I love. Of course will be going into depth about the new products added so watch this space.

I am always on the look out for skincare products that will add that gorgeous glow to my skin as well as protect at the same time. Ingredients like Vitamin C that will help brighten and target my dark spots are key. The Nuxe Ultimate White Glow Range gives my skin some serious glow and hydration as well as protecting my skin against external aggressors like pollution and UV rays. Another beautiful French skincare brand that I abolutely love and always recommend.

Pigmentation has been a real struggle for me since having children and living in a hot climate. Working outside on shoots in the South African sun has definitely made it worse. Of course just using skincare products on their own won’t make my pigmentation  disappear. I take supplements and have peels in winter. Obviously sunscreen is an absolute must ands trying to stay out of the sun during certain times of the day. However there are products like this Nuxe Ultimate White Glow Range that can help stop new dark spots from appearing and help lighten them as well.

The Nuxe Ultimate White Glow range are infused with Vitamin C that helps brighten, lighten, fight against free radicals and stop dark spots forming. As well as White Peony that helps lighten and brighten the skin giving that gorgeous extra glow.

The Nuxe Ultimate White Glow Brightening Concentrate (R825) helps reduce dark spots, even skin tone and illuminates the skin. Its super light and melts in beautifully. The whitening technology of the stable vitamin C and White Peony help fade and lighten dark spots. The concentrate definitely makes dull skin appear more radiant and healthy.

What I can say that no new dark spots have appeared and my skin feels amazing after applying. As mentioned earlier I have been using a range of products to help fight against the pigmentation over the last few months and have definitely noticed my pigmentation is a tiny bit lighter. My skin texture is in great condition at the moment so am super happy about that.

The Nuxe White Ultimate Glow Brightening Moisturising Cream Gel (R795) seriously hydrates. I am a lover of a gel texture moisturiser they give aa beautiful glow to the skin. The Vitamin C and White Peony help protect the skin as well as brighten and lighten, the Hyaluronic Acid helps with the hydration. The Vitamin E helps reduce redness in the skin which also helps enhance the skin’s texture and protect the skin against environmental factors. I love this cream its refreshing on the skin plus it looks plumped after use. When it comes to applying my base my skin looks beautiful. It definitely gives that lit from within look.

The Nuxe Ultimate Glow Illuminating Anti-Dark Circle Eye Contour Cream (R675) had been my go to eye cream of late. I love how hydrating and illuminating it is. I have been struggling with sleep the last few months so of course my under area is affected. The cream helps reduce puffiness and dark circles and has kept those pesky fine lines at bay. The Vitamin C and White Peony help with the darkness giving a lighter appearance. My under eye area is more radiant and feels super soft and smooth. I love it.

The range is available at Woolworths, Foschini as well as Absolute Skin who are offering a slight discount on the products. Definitely worth checking out.

If you have een following me since last year you will know I have been on the Environ journey. Even though I was initially invited to come do a skin analysis, try a facial and get some free goodies I have kept going back. I really believe in investing in my skin. So when I was asked so I want to test the new Environ Focus Care Radiance + range for pigmentation and radiance I was like YES PLEASE. The corner stone of the brand is Vitamin A with a whole load of add ons and step ups which I love. This range I can add in with what I am currently using from Environ, plus a few other products too. I take my skin seriously expecially as I am now in my 40’s. The key for me is to have radiant glowing hydrated skin and reduce my pigmentation.

Eucerin Even Brighter – The Verdict

Introducing the Eucerin Even Brighter range that landed on my desk a while back and with the word brighter I was already sold. I am always looking at ways to brighten my skin and lighten my pigmentation and basically leave my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. So what did I think?

The Even Brighter range was formulated to help skin with hyper pigmentation, even out the skin tone and protect against UV rays. I have been using the Day and Night Cream the last month and my skin feels fresher and brighter and all around just feels great. Plus coming straight back from holiday and serious sun my skin really needed this.

The night cream contains B-Resorcinol that helps decrease the melanin production and reduce the appearance of hyper pigmentation and Glycyrrhetinic Acid that helps repair sun induced skin damage. As well as repairing its also really moisturising and thick in its consistency so my skin feels amazing as well as helping enhance the skin during the nightly regenerating process. After 4 weeks my skin definitely appears more radiant and my pigmentation isn’t as enhanced but I will need to use for a lot longer to see if it really starts to fade.

The Day Cream contains all the same ingredients as the night cream as well as an SPF of 30 and UVA protection so as to protect for further sun damage and pigmentation so its a winner for me especially living in South Africa.

There is a spot corrector pen but I have only been using the creams as part of my beauty regime. When I get compliments on how great my skin looks then I know that the cream has to be doing something right?

What I love about the Eucerin Even Brighter Day and Night Cream is even after 4 weeks there is still loads of product left so a little goes a long way and I reckon the creams will last up to 3/4 months so great value for money the day cream retails at R249 and the night cream is R219 so a budget product that really is worth every penny in terms of skin looking and feeling better.

Has anyone tried the creams yet and what were you thoughts?
