Spring is in the air in Cape Town loving this sunshine so with that in mind its time to rummage through your nail collection or get yourself to the shops and get yourself some fun bright colours. Personally there is no easier way then getting into the new season that candy colured nails.
If you are more of a neutral nail polish kind of girl an easy way to wear a little candy on your nails is on your toes to make sure they look oh so pretty.
If you aren’t aware of Toy Nail polish then you better get a look at their shades I love the Lilac Lila, its such a pretty colour and its bang on trend. This shade is definitely one of my favs out of the 5.
Next on the list is Rimmel 60 Seconds Intense Coral, if you can’t quite go too bright this shade is a perfect shade to rock Spring time. Its pretty on pretty much all skin tones and yes even if you haven’t got a tan. It glides on easily and dries super quick.
Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy polishes are pretty new to the market in SA and have some really pretty colours, I love the Lady Luck Candy Pink Shade and makes my nails look so very pretty.
Part of my recent UK Haul involved a little bit of Kiko shopping I couldn’t resist this bold orange shade 491. I absolutely love this colour and would say its my fav of all the shades purely because I love bold bright colours and orange just looks amazing when you got a bit of a tan.
Lastly its back to toy with Azul Claro a beautiful pastel blue that has a matt finish. This one would be a more of a wear it on my toes kind of shade but I still love it anyway.
Toy Textures polishes are the latest addition to the Toy Polish family. I got my hands on the Leather Crush, Matt and Caviar polish and have been playing with the Caviar and Matt so far. What can I say but that I love them.
If you are a nail polish addict then you will love these as they are super cool textures with on trend colours. I am loving the Leather Crush in Sapphire because I am just a bit obsessed with blue at the moment. The polishes have a great brush applicator making it super easy to apply and no streaking.
The matt polish is also amazing with the nail polish and then the clear polish that turns it into matt instantly. Black is very in right now for winter so if you love darker shades then you will love this matt shade Two of You.
If you haven’t heard of Toy Nail Polish then check out my post here when I first got my hands on them. There are shope that stock but to make your life a whole load easier you can order from email@example.com
Manicure was done by my best Shelley at All About U in Seapoint.
Love Love Love.
I love discovering new products and new brands. I got my hands on a few polishes from Toy Nail Polish a brand new nail polish brand to hit SA last month and I am loving the colours. The Colombian brand Toy which means Two of You started when a lady called Carolina Palapez decided to launch her own business and took the social media world by storm promoting thie brand and sharing tips, news and trends with her followers. The products are not tested on animals, free from commonly used toxic ingredients including formaldehyde, toluene, camphor and acetone. The bottles are made from recycled glass and the packaging is from bleach free craft paper.
Toy Nail Polish dries really quickly with the first coat in about 50 seconds and second coat in a minute and a half and then a top coat so Toy promise that your nail will be dry in about 7 minutes.
I tested out the Toy Maaji nail polish in Blueberry Moon seen below is a beautiful bright matt blue shade. The brush applies easily without any streaking and 2 coats is more than enough. I also love the idea that its economically friendly.
There are 29 colours available in SA retailing at R99 from nudes, pastels, brights and shimmer polishes as well as the Diamond Cocktail top coat. Toy Nail Polish will be releasing new polishes every 2 months to ensure that they match global trends and this month there will be the arrival of some new additions.
There are some stockists in Cape Town and Joburg already but if you want to be part of the Toy team their philosophy is you can buy stock and then sell to friends and make a little business for yourself which is a great little side business if you love all things beauty.
