Its a new season and that means new makeup and times to change things up. Being a 90’s girl myself I love that the 90’s makeup trend is back and its so easy. The key to the look is the lip and the eyes. I kept my take on the look really simple with the focus on the lips using the Mac Paramount Satin Lipstick. I kept eyes simple with a wash of colour and tanned up my skin and added the glow I love.
For the eyes I used one of my favourite palettes the Nars Skin Deep Palette. Its perfect for this trend as it has all the right shades. I used the tan shade and blended all over the lids and in to the crease. To give a bit more definition work the shade into the crease and really define the eye.
I filled in brows with the latest Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Brow Pen to shape and define. Even though I don’t often fill in brows its key for the 90’s look.
Lashes got coated in the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to complete the eye. I first didn’t love this mascara when I got it but I actually really like it now. Plus I love the packaging.
The 90’s makeup trend really focuses on that tanned skin so I left out blush and went with a matt bronzer. I used the Becca Cosmetics Khloe and Malika Palette that has a gorgeous bronzer perfect for this look. Work a blush brush from the apples of your cheeks and sweep up. I also warmed up my skin on my forehead as well and into my neck.
For highlighter I went with a gold shade that really ties in woth the overall feel. I love my Mac Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Oh Darling its absolutely stunning on.
I worked the highlighter into all the key areas of my face the cheek bones, bridge of my nose and of course the cupids bow.
Last up the key element that ties the whole look the brown lip. Now back in the day there were lots of different brown lips for this trend. I have gone for one with a hint of red as it really suits me. Go for a brown shade that won’t wash out your complexion. The Mac Satin lipstick in Paramount is perfect and absolutely gorgeous on. Its a lippie I would use again and again.
