Just back from a well deserved break with no kids my monthly essentials instalment is a bit late for August but better late than never. Pretty much all the products are new that I have loved using apart from a slight oldie. So here it is the lowdown on what’s on my fav list:
In terms of makeup I just love the Chanel Les Ombres AW14 in Poesie I love these shades for day to night and even though its from the autumn/winter collection for me I can wear this one any time of the year and had it on my Europe Summer break for those sexy smokey eyes for date nights with my hubbie.
My go to foundation has been the Elizabeth Arden Perfectly Flawless Nude Foundation that I raved about earlier this year and have been busy using other foundations but came back to this one for that fresh dewy skin perfect for hot weather. Its one of those bases that is super light on your skin and gives such an amazing finish.
As you all know I am obsessed with mascara and I love love love the Stila Mile High Mascara that’s part of the 20 Anniversary collection (sorry but you will have to wait till October for this one), if you haven’t already seen my Stila Tutorial check it out here to see the mascara in action. The applicator really grips those lashes giving volume and really opens up the eyes, plus it doesn’t budge even if you go swimming.
I have only been using natural products more recently and a new brand Oh-Lief that I have been testing out recently gets a thumbs up from me. I took the Natural Body Lotion in Roman chamomile on holiday with me and it worked wonders on my skin after being in the sun, my skin felt smooth and really hydrated because of the Chamomile which helps soothe the skin. The cream is a combination of organic oils and natural clay.
I have been using the Filorga Time Filler Eyes for quite some time its definitely one of my favourite eye creams that I have gotten my hands on. It hydrates but also smoothes out those fine lines as its almost has a matt texture but doesn’t feel dry like some blurring products. Its an all rounder eye cream that helps combat sagging eyelids, fill in hollow under eye area, combat dark circles and helps bost the density of lashes. I have been using this eye cream more for under my eyes to keep that area smooth and keep those fine lines at bay. Its got a unique ingredient Synake which is botox like that helps relax the features. Its almost finished and I will definintely be buying one cause I love it that much.
The Body Shop have launched some new hand creams and I took the Shea Butter one with me away to keep my hands soft and hydrated after being in the sun. This creams are non greasy and smell amazing, there is nothing worse when a hand cream leaves hands really greasy but not with this one. Plus its a handy size so you can pop it in your hand bag and hydrate those hands whenever you need.
My favourite hair product is the Schwarskopf BC Bonacure Repair Rescue Sealed Ends that you basically apply to wet hair after washing on the ends to help seal those split ends as well as prevent them from splitting. I have been using this bad boy for about 5 weeks and normally after waiting 9 weeks of not cutting my hair its a state but seriuosly its been about 12 weeks since I cut my hair and its still in amazing condition. I will never be living without this product again its that good.
I love a leave in hair conditioner purely because I find that a wash out conditioner is not enough for my hair because I use a hair dryer. The Milk Shake Leave in Conditioner has now become one of my best friends cause it smells like dessert and leaves hair feeling super soft.
