If you love bold gorgeous makeup then the latest Chanel LA Sunrise Spring 16 makeup collection is going to blow you away. Inspired by the LA summer the Chanel collection is all about radiant glow’s, vibrant shades of spring and overflowing energy of Californian mornings. For me its a really exciting collection because I abolutely love bright makeup especially for the eyes and this one has my fav blue thrown into the mix.
Back in December I got to attend the launch of the new collection and have a little play around and luckily got to walk away with the gorgeous Creation Exclusive Sunkiss Ribbon Blush (R855) that has multiple shades that you can create a gorgeous glow to your complexion with ribbons of fuschia pink, soft coral, coppery beige, fresh pink and intense red. There are a few ways to work this blush if you are more of a darker skin tone then you can work this one over the entire face as a finishing touch to your makeup, as a blush but remember to take the excess first before applying and rather build up or you can work it in areas that need more definition like your contour areas but you may want to work the bronze shade for this. LOVE IT.There are three Illusion D’Ombre cream shades (R475) in the collection the Griffith Green which I got to take home as well as a shimmery pink called Moonlight Pink and the bold blue Ocean Light which is amazing. You can work the lighter shade in the day and the other two are perfect for a night out on the town. If you have never used one of these shadows they are so easy to apply, take a flat brush and apply to your lids and then take a blending brush to create the smok eye effect and wing out if you are going all the way. Make sure to prep eyes first with a primer to ensure the makeup lasts the distance.I love bold lips so was very happy to see the gorgeous Rouge Coco Shine lippies (R505) in the collection. If you love a bright lip but are worried its too much the great thing about the Coco shine lipsticks is that they are more sheer so you can still rock the bright colours without it being too much. The quad eyeshadow palette Les 4 Ombres in Tisse Beverly Hills (R775) this season is serioulsy bold and actually could work for most skin tones its got a combination of lilac’s, a silvery beige and then for the bolder shades of turquoise and a deep purple which could look amazing on a paler complexion and a darker complexion.Loving the three liners Les Stylo Yeux (R370) in the collection that can be worked with the eyeshadows or actually could be amazing by themeselves as either a liner on the top lash line or smudged to create an easy smokey eye plus they are waterproof so longer wearing for those nights out.
I am totally loving the purple in the collection its definitely one of my favourite colours for makeup and the limited edition Le Volume De Chanel mascara (R485) is a gorgeous deep purple called Ardent Purple. Firstly I am massive fan of this mascara as it creates amazing volume and I definitely can’t wait to go get myself this shade as it will look amazing on.
Finishing off the collection is the deep purple polish Le Vernis Sunrise Trip (R365) which has been used in the advetising image you can see it looks incredible on and matches a bold lip or a bold eye from the makeup collection. The LA sunrise collection launches next week so definitely one to go get your hands on if you love Chanel or you really love bold makeup. I know I am definitely going to go get some extra pieces for my stash.
