I got my hands on some of the makeup from the Clarins Sun Kissed Collection and I am loving them. Now you all know I love a good bronzer and this one not only is so pretty but really gorgeous on. I din’t get the whole collection but super happy with what I got to play with. I love the tinted primers perfect for summer especially if you are not big on wearing base. As well as the lip oils that seriously hydrate and add a touch of colour to your lips. I have also included in this post the new Clarins Pore Control serum. Purely because it goes hand in hand with summer and prepping skin before you add on any makeup.
In this post I have done a step by step of applying each product so you can see what it looks like and how to apply:
Now the Clarins Pore Control Serum (R550) is a serum that helps reduce pores giving you smoother and more radiant skin. Its a cream based serum and it smells gorgeous but it also feels super hydrating. Perfect for prepping skin before you apply any base. The serum has been designed for women with oily skin, or if like me you have combination skin certain areas are oily and need a little bit of help. The Pore Control Serum helps tighten your skin making pores invisible , creating a blurring effect where it masks the pores. On continued use Clarins promise that the active ingredients help reduce pores and refine the skin’s texture to reveal beautiful skin. The key ingredient here is Tamarin which helps eliminate dead skin cells to refine, smooth and even out the skin’s texture.
Apply a small amount pat all over the face and massage in both morning and night.
Next up the limited edition SOS primers that come in 4 shades of which 2 are tinted bronze and mocha. There are 2 other SOS primers in the collection the universal light for fair skin tones and green for those who suffer from redness. The primers have a blurring effect that not only gives you a sunkissed glow but also revives and corrects as well. For those of you who are not big on wearing base you can actually just wear the primer if you have a complexion like mine. The primer helps prep the skin so if you are applying foundation over then the primer will help the foundation last longer. Its also really hydrating so also give a dewy effect which really is a great bonus. Plus its oil free so your skin can really breath in the hot months.
Here I apply the bronze primer with a foundation brush and blend all over. Its good coverage and just enhances my tan as well as protecting my skin from pollution.
The Limited Edition Bronzing Palette (R560) is definitely a favourite, I caught my 9 year old daughter trying to steal it but this baby is mine. The packaging is so pretty and I really love the bronzer. Its perfect for enhancing your tan and really creating a sun kissed glow. There are 3 matte shades in the palette so actually a goodie all year round. I like to take a large contour brush and apply all over contouring the cheek bones, forehead and neckline. You can also apply in areas where the sun would naturally fall as welll to give that overall illusion of a tan.
The Lip Comfort Oils (335) are back again this year with 3 new shades in the collection. I got my hands on blackberry but there is also candy which is a bright pink shade and mint a green oil. The oils are formulated with nourishing organic açai berry oil so lips are super hydrated after application. They leave just a hint of colour so good for those hot months to keep lips conditioned. They give a pretty shine to the lips that aren’t sticky like a lip gloss.
Also in the Clarins sun kissed collection is a 4 in one eye liner pen and a Supra Volume mascara. To check out the whole collection click here. I love the primers and bronzer so definitey worth checking out.
