craoting skincare brand Nikel

The Croatian Skincare brand Nikel launched in SA and I got the chance to test out a couple of their skincare products. I am a lover of all things skincare so trying anything new always makes me super happy. The brand prides itself on having innovative formulas that include plant extracts and essential oils and caters for all skin types. The creator of the brand created the Nikel range so as to give the skin what it needs and wants. Plus the ingredients are good for the inside as well as the outside. I love that Nikel is a natural skincare product, uses natural preservatives, cruelty free but also feels luxurious at the same time.

Its hard for me to give a full view of the brand as I only tested out the cleanser and moisturiser but I can say I loved the products I got my hands on. The brand pretty much focuses on dehydrated, dry and mature skin so if you are looking for something new this may be one you want to check out.

The Nikel Cleansing Milk with Immortel (R480)  was my favourite of the two and its one that I would definitely keep in my skincare routine. I love using this one at night time to clean my skin because its so creamy and really leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated. Its light weight with a no rinse formula so you apply 2/3 pumps to your cotton pad and apply to your skin.

I love the scent of the cleanser and and it leaves my skin plump and soft rather than feeling dry after some cleansers feel. This cleanser is a perfect winter treat for dehydrated or dry skin.

The Benefits of Immortel:

  • Anti bacterial properties
  • Reduces Redness
  • Soothes Sensitive Skin
  • Antioxidant that helps repair free radical damage

The cleanser is infused with a whole load of goodness and that also adds to the citrus scent I absolutely love:

Shea Butter (moisturises skin and helps with sensitivity and irritations to the skin), Almond (rich in Vitamin E that protects the skin from sun damaged skin), Sunflower (infused with Vitamin E and rich  in nutrients and antioxidants, as well as combatting irritated skin), Chamomile (anti inflammatory and antiseptic properties), Sweet Orange (keeps skin clean and blemish free and helps stop bacteria from spreading further) and Immortel.

The Nikel Nikelhidris Face Cream 50ml (R796) is a rich moisturiser thats definitely is one I use at night. Its a luxurious cream that really hydrates the skin that helps the signs off fatigue, ageing and moisture loss. This moisturiser is definitely for dehydrated and dry skin so its not one I would use all the time. I struggle at times with dehydrated skin so I would definitey reach for this. Its definitely one that would be great over winter or when the skin has had too much sun and may have dryed out.

The moisturiser is the last step in your skincare routine I definitely want to test out their serums and face oil to get the full feeling of the brand. I can say that when I used the moisturiser my skin was glowing and really hydrated. The moisturiser has all the same ingredients as the cleanser its just super rich.

I am really keen to try the Evening Primrose Oil and the Alpine Rose Tonic from the range especially in winter when the skin needs that extra boost.

Nikel is available online in a range of selected stores click here to find out where to buy, plus find out more about the brand and all the products on offer.
