Its definitely been a month of so many new makeup launches which is literally like Christmas come early. The L’Oreal Matte Lip Paints are heading our way next month with an array of gorgeous lip shades to choose from. There is a shade here for everyone whether you like a nude or a bold red lip. I personally love a matte lip as it lasts the distance and always just looks that much better.

There are 6 L’Oreal matte Lip paint shades (R179.95)  but there will also be 8 laquer shades coming our way too. On application the lip paint doesn’t look matte it definitely has a more hydrating feel than some matte lippies. It definitely lasts  from morning to afternoon. I didn’t keep the lip paint on all day so I have yet to test if it lasts from am to pm like L’Oreal claims. It does take a few applications to get the full colour pay off but when you do the colours are gorgeous.

I am always a fan of a bold pink (King Pink) so of course that’s what I reached for here to show you how pretty the matte lip paints look.  There is nothing prettier than a bright lip to totally lift your complexion and make you look wide awake. Believe me I need all the bright lips I can get my hands on when I haven’t slept. There is a gorgeous traffic light red (Red Actually) which also looks amazing on. The deep red shade (Apocolypse Red) is perfect for those of you who don’t like too bright. Plus its a goodie for winter. The nude matte (Holly) is a pretty beige/pink shade and actually looks good on my complexion as lots make me look washed out. The bold purple shade (Wuthering Purple) is perfect for darker complexion or if you just love a purple lip.

The applicator makes it really easy to apply as it has a slight bend to it so you can get right in there. They have a pointed tip so that makes it easier to have more control, and a flat applicator so its easy to apply to the whole lip. As well as having super charged pigments that really gives a beautiful colour pay off. The paints have a smooth fixing base that makes the lip paint feel really comfortable on. All in all I like them and definitely think they are worth checking out.

The L’Oreal Matte Lip Paints will hit stores in July so keep a watch out on my facebook page to see when they are in store.
