Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette

Drugstore brands have really stepped up their game. Now you can buy eye palettes without breaking the bank. I put the new Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette (R260) to the test and created a look using a few of the shades. Its got a combo of nude and bold colours including the yellow shade Lemonade Craze. You can create quite a few looks just using the indivudual shades or create a combo its really up to you.

I had already prepped my skin with my Environ skincare products and then applied a NYX Total Control Foundation and Benefit Boi-ing Concealer as my base.

So here is the look I created using the Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette:

I first applied the the shade Sugar Coated into my crease with my Zoeva blending brush. Then Sweet Tea and blending out the edges of Sugar Coated. I also applied the neautral shade Sweet Tea on my bottom lash line using a pencil brush.

Then I went back in with Sugar Coated to give some more intensity to the outer corner or my eyes again with a blending brush.

For the shimmer shade I applied a fixing spray from Urban Decay and wet my brush then applied Strawberry Lemonade onto my lid. By wetting the eyeshadow it creates much more intensity.

I also went in with a little bit of Old Fashioned in the outer corners to give the look a bit more smoke.

For the inner corners of my eyes I applied Citrus to give the eyes more of a pop. By adding a highlighter shade into the inner corners it just gives the eyes a more wide awake look.

Then to add a little something different I applied some of the yellow Lemonade Craze on my bottom lash line. I thought why not and get a little crazy with my makeup.

On my brow bone I applied the shade Sunnies to add some definition and highlight.

For the glow to my complexion I used a new fav of mine the Kat Von D Metallic highlighter palette. I went with the orange shade so that it matched the eye shadow palette. This highlighter creates such an unbelievable glow to the skin. I applied on my cheek bones, nose and cupids bow.

For the cheeks I kept it creamy using Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam its a peachy shade thats so pretty on. It gives a natural flush to the cheeks. Actually I am going to buy the full range for my kit currently I also have puff but they are so pretty I need them all for my pro kit.

For the lips I used new from Revlon the Kiss Cushion lip tint in High End Coral. I am actually really loving these new tints they give a gorgeous shine to the lips with a pretty colour.

Et voila a pretty summery makeup look using mostly drugstore makeup. I also forgot to mention the mascara I used a Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Mascara to add some volume to my sad lashes.

Hope you enjoyed my post.
