Bioderma is one of those French affordable beauty brands I just love. Known for their cult Micellar Water they have now launched a new range focusing on brightening and pigmemtation. Two things that are super important for me. Introducing the Bioderma Pigmentbio range that also has a Brightening Micellar Water which I love love love love. I have been testing the products for the last couple of months in and around my other products. I always like to give skincare time rather than report back after a week. Whether its really helped my issue with pigmentation I am not sure but it has definitely added to hydration and brightening of my skin.
Due to the effects of sun, pollution, ageing, pregnancy, or breakouts the skin gets marks and dark spots. This is excactly what has happened to me over time so I am always on the look out for products that can help reduce or lighten them. Bioderma created this new range for sensitive skin to help combat hyperpigmentation. The products contain a LumirReveal Technology that acts on the steps of pigmentation: reduce dark spots, prevent new ones appearing and restore the skin’s brightness .
The Bioderma Pigmentbio Foaming Cream (R189.99) which is a brightening cleanser gently exfoliates, plus helps even out and helps illuminate and reduce dark spots on the skin. The cleanser has granules but its really so gentle on application and really doesn’t strip the skin after use.The AHA’s and micro beads gently exfoliate, as well as remove the impurities as well as smooth brighter ski. The moisturising ingredients help with hydration so skin feels so soft. As well as a cleanser you can also double up a as a face mask leaving on for 5 minutes then apply water and lather up.
The Bioderma Pigmentbio H20 Brightening Micellar (R199.99 ) is also part of the cleansing stage of the range. I like to use this to also make sure my skin is really clean before I apply anthing else. It really helps remove makeup and any impurities. It also gets rid of stubborn mascara as well which is always a goodie. While the water is doing its thing on your skin it also doesn’t upset the balance. Plus my skin feels really fresh after use.
Now if you know of Bioderma’s Micellar Waters they are pretty much in most makeup artists kit. So you know this one is also a goodie because its one thing the brand is known for and does it so well. Plus not only does it brighten you can use it for sensitive skin. So far I have kept this for myself and haven’t tested on models because I am loving it that much.
The Bioderma Pigmentbio Daily Care SPF 50 (R325) helps to instantly illuminate and protect and brighten the skin. As well as containing the LumiReveal Technology that helps reduce dark spots. It also helps reduce melanin production and boosts cell renewal to help eliminate the dark spots. The technology is infused with a cocktail of Vitamin C, E and PP that helps boost the brightening action and protect the skin barrier.
As we all know the Vitamin C and E protect the skin from pollutio, UVA/UVB rays and oxydative stress that triggers premature ageing. The first signs of this is the dark spots. The Vitamin PP helps moiturise the skin and strengthens the skins barrier.
I love this one as not only is it protecting my skin but it also adds a glow with its pearly texture. Plus skin gets some serious hydration.
I am really loving the Bioderma Pigmentbio Night Renewer (R179.99 ) which is a brightening overnight care moisturiser. Its got a gel like texture that really hydratyes the skin and feels amazing on application. We all know that night time is the best time for the skin’s natural repair. The night renewer boosts cell renewal and collagen production for a plump and brighter looking skin in the morning. My skin feels so hydrated when I wake up after using this bad boy.
As well as boosting the collagen it also helps with the skin’s elasticity, helps smooth fine lines, restore the skin’s brightness and reduce dark spots. Its been described as a “watery sleeping mask” that adds freshness to the skin. Love
Last up and one I haven’t tested yet as I haven’t needed to is the Bioderm Pigmentbio Sensitive Area Cream (R179.99). Its basically for sensitive areas (friction areas) like knees, elbows, underarms, thighs and groin as well as external initimate areas. Its the first tailored care for pigmentation in these areas. Its supposed to help sooth skin and any redness. For those of you who struggle with waxing, dark areas on the skin this product will help even out and brighten. For the men out there you can also use for redness after shaving.
Definitely a range worth checking out and in stores now. If you struggle with any of these skin issues its definitely one to try out. As I mentioned before I don’t know if its helped reduce my dark spots as I use a whole load of other products as well. But I can say my skin is really feeling and looking good and the moment. Even though I still have pigmnentaion I have a bright and glowing complexion which I get complimented on most day so I must be doing something right.
