For those of you who are not keen on a heavy base and a touch of something the Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint could be for you. Its not got coverage like any of the other Chanel bases its literally a tint. Its super sheer with the pigment suspended in 75% water. The packaging and the brush is what definitely makes it costly but if you feel like a splurge then try it out. Perfect to add a touch of glow to the complexion.
I did a quick first impressions on insta stories when I first got it but it was a quick test over my foundation that I had on from the morning. I suffer from pigmentation so the tint doesn’t cover any of that. If you have flawless skin and want a dewy complexion with a hint of colour it would be perfect. For me concealer is my best friend. It won’t cover spots, redness or pigmenation so keep that in mind.
The Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint feels like a gel when you actually apply it and super fresh and cooling on the skin. As I mentioned earlier the pigment is suspended in 75% water that has a touch of colour and gives the skin a hydration boost. It literally just adds a hint and I would say its like a sheer liquid bronzer. Great for summer but it doesn’t have an SPF so you would have to get that on first before applying.
The brush that comes with it feels gorgeous on the skin. I actually have the Chanel foundation brush this one is the mini one. I am using the medium shade but in summer I would need to go darker. Sadly there are only 6 shades but I think the tint actually would only really work for fair to medium skin tones.
If like me you need concealer its the only way to wear the tint. I applied concealer under my eyes, around my nose, on my chin and on my cheeks and part of my forehead where I have pigmentation. I would only wear it on its own maybe if I was chilling by the pool or going to the beach.
I wanted to show a whole look so I applied my Chanel Le Baume Essentiel in Sculpting. Its a gloss highlighter that is super natural looking and really goes with the dewy effect of the fresh water tint. Its basically a moisturising glow balm which looks pretty on the cheek bones, bridge of the nose and cupids bow. It gives a subtle radiance to the skin which I really love. Here I applied with fingers:
To see the Le Baume Essentiel in action head on over to my insta account Shahnaz Loves Beauty in my highlighters folder.
With such a dewy sheer finish the best way to brighten up the complexion is a red lipstick. Here I am applying my Chanel Rouge Allure Ink in Libere. It really compliments the whole look.
The Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint retails at R1110 so its definitely very pricey but you do get a brush! Its already launched in selected Edgars and Woolworths stores so if you keen go test it out.
