I love trying out new skincare because its something I am really passionate about other than makeup. Getting older for me means I need to always be on top of my beauty regime and make sure I look after my skin day and night. With that in mind I introduce the latest from Lancome Visionnaire the Advanced Skin Corrector and the Advanced Eye Contour Perfecting Corrector.
These beauties landed on my desk in early December and I have been using every day since and so far my skin seems very happy. I am always on the lookout for products that will give me that glow as well as well as feeling soft and smooth and for under my eyes to make sure that area is hydrated and my fine lines are not visible and so far I can say thumbs up in that respect.
The Advanced Skin Corrector aims to help with wrinkles, pores and skin texture and contains their secret complex LR 2412 which works in different areas of the skin the epidermis, basement membrane and the dermis (sounds pretty technical but it basically means it penetrates deep into the skin). The promised results for the serum is hightened skin perfection with instant effects from first use with smoothed wrinkles, reduced pores, reduced imperfections and a more refined skin texture. I don’t struggle with large pores so in that respect I can’t comment but my skin is smoother and radiant so happy days all around.
The advanced eye contour corrector is a cream like texture that’s really lightweight. It has a spatula applicator that the cream comes out of making it really easy to apply under the eyes without you having to get your fingers stuck in there plus it twists so you can turn it off meaning no wastage.
The purpose of this eye contour perfecting corrector is to correct, smooth and brighten the under eye area as well as help reduce dark circles due to dark circle correcting pigments that is released on contact with the skin. Lancome promises that with their unique formula the under eye area is brightened for all skin tones.
Since using the eye contour corrector I can see from when I apply it my skin is definitely brighter am not so sure about the dark circles beacuse I find when I am tired its pretty hard for the darkness to go away maybe they are not as dark so will keep you posted on that one. I can definitely say as my under eye area is more hydrated and my fine lines aren’t as visible but I also need to make sure I am getting enough sleep. I can definitely say my skin feels smoother and softer so big thumbs up to Lancome.
Both the Lancome Visionnaire Adanced Skin Corrector and the Adanced Eye Contour Perfecting Corrector are in stores now (Edgars, Red Square, Stuttafords, Woolworths and Truworths) with the serum retailing at R860 for 30ml’s and R999 for 50ml’s and the eye contour retailing at R699 for 15ml’s. I would definitely advise going for the 50ml’s as there isn’t a big price difference between the 2 and the 50ml will last you longer so its more cost effective.
Its a bit pricey but if you are big on skincare and are happy to invest then definitely give these a try. I always say rather spend on your serum and less on moisturisers as your serum will be the more effective for your skin.
