The Revlon Reds
The Revlon lippies hit my desk just before Valentine’s day with a whole array of little valentine’s gifts. The two that stood out for me were the Revlon Ultra HD lip laquer in Fire Opal and the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Marigold two amazing shades and great textures.
Now I love a bold lippie and I also like products that don’t break the bank and that I can share with my readers. I absolutely love a high shine gloss they look unbelievable on and make everything on your face really pop. The Revlon Ultra HD laquer comes in a whole varity of shades with a limited edition selection but I love the Fire Opal its a bright red that will look amazing on a fair to medium skin tone with lots of mascara, a contoured and highlighted face and groomed brows. The glosses are in stores this week reatiling at R145 and I have to say I really love it as it has a great colour pay off and just adds a different dimension to your make up look.
The Ultra HD lipstick in Marigold is a gorgeous red/orange shade which makes me think of lady danger a little bit but this one has more orange than red. It glides on beautifully and again has a great colour pay off I went for 2 coats to really get the most of the lippie. Its a gel based super light lipstick that doesn’t feel heavy at all. plus it smells of vanilla and mango so who wouldn’t want to wear it? If you want your lipstick to last that much longer you can make it more matt in texture by applying a translucent setting powder over the lipstick. This lipstick also launches this week at R145 as well as 19 other shades so if you not so keen on a bold lip there are others to try.
