Already on counters in South Africa this beauty Clarins Rosewood eyeshadow palette (R495) and Supra Masacara (R295) are the perfect combo for a smokey eye. I love an alternative to the usual browns and blacks when it comes to creating a soft pretty smokey eye plus nothing quite finishes it off like a volume mascara.

My night out last night I decided to try both items on myself and see how it turned out. The Clarins Rosewood palette is a combination of 4 shimmer shades from a bronze/purple, purple and a grey purple to create the smoke. The lightest shade is perfect for the inner corner of the eyes and basing the eyelid. I created this look by first applying the white pearly shade up to the crease and then went over with the bronze/purple shade. I then took a blending brush and applied the purple shade into the crease and along the bottom lash line and then sweeped the last grey/purple shade along the top lash line. The palette also has a wet to dry formula as well so you can change the texture of the shadow and change it up.

Clarins Rosewood and Supra Volume Mascara

Love love love the Clarins Supra Volume Mascara as it really gives my lashes great volume. I already put this mascara to the test on a shoot last week and was really happy with it. The mascara really lifts the lashes and adds that extra definition to the smokey eye.
