We are so used to seeing a normal smokey eye its been a thing forever. But every season we also see the under eye smokey (that’s what I call it). Its actually a lot cooler and great for the younger girls. Normally you see the waterline just filled in. But her you can get bold and work it under the eyes. To give it a more lived in look you can blend so its a bit more blurred.
In this sneaky behind the scenes look from my shoot this week with Polish brand Cropp, the look is a bit more undone. Its not about being perfect but more lived in. Best products for this is an eyeliner or long wearing cream shadow that will last the distance. Make sure that after you apply then go back in with a concealer. This ensure its all cleaned up and illuminated under the eyes so its not to dark.
I went for my trusty chocolate 24/7 glide on liner Roach from Urban Decay because this shade really makes the eyes pop, plus its got some shimmer as well which gives it that extra wow. For me chocolate is a safe bet as it suits most skintones and doesn’t look to harsh. You can also blend in a little eyeshadow as well, but for this look I just worked the pencil.
For the under eye smokey look make sure you stay close to the lash line and also fill in the waterline so its totally seamless. Instead of working some colour on the eyelid I actually gave it a loss feel with my trusty Elizabeth Arden 8HR Cream. Then finished off with mascara on top and bottom lashes.
