The key to cheating the glow is good skincare routine, as well as makeup products that will make the complexion look more radiant. Today I am chatting about tips on achieving a glowing complexion. Glowing skin is basically my favourite thing to chat about because good skin means everything else just falls into place. Prepping your skin before applying makeup is key so by the time foundation is on it looks super glowy and fresh.
I love to prep skin before doing makeup on myself with a good serum and a good face mist that is going to add hydration and cheat the glow. If you didn’t catch my earlier post this week featuring the Diego Della Palma Icon Time Glow Elixir then click here to read more about it. Not only does it have great skincare benefits but it really adds a glow to the skin. Plus its packed with Hyaluronic Acid. The key here is Hydration Hydration Hydration. You cannot skip prepping your skin before you apply foundation.
I get asked all the time how do I get my skin to glow or my foundation to look better. Its always the same answer. Its a skincare prep and adding key things like Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid. These ingredients will make the skin plump and hydrated and adds to the dewy skin I love so much.
Also a great hydrating face mist like the new Mac Fix + Magic Radiance. Just some spritzes of this alone will add to the glow. Its got a combo of vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and essential oils all rolled into one. So if you looking to save so money without having to buy 3 different products you could invest in this bad boy. Having the essential oils really helps with that extra hydration and glow. I love to add oils into my skincare routine.
Now when it comes to makeup we all know that highlighter really helps achieve the glow. its one of the best ways to cheat the glow. Whether its a creamy texture or a power texture its up to you. You can also layer to build up the glow that’s what I love to do.
Here I am actually using a powder Holographic highlighter from LOV Cosmetics the LOVillusion palette. The pearlescent shades really add a beautiful glow and shimmer to the skin. I like to apply on top of my cheek and brow bones, the bridge of my nose and cupids bow. You can also apply on the inner corners of your eyes to make them pop.
Cream blush is one of those makeup items that also really adds to the radiance and glow of the skin. Some have a shimmer effect that when the sun catches skin is glowing. I also love a cream texture that melts into the foundation. Loving the Mac Glow Play Blush they look and feel amazing on the skin. They also make the skin look really hydrated and radiant.
I also love to add hair accessories ike my pearl clips from Barethread Fashions. A pretty hair accessory just finishes off the glowing natural complexion look. Plus they are really affordable.
Next week I will be chatting about key skincare ingredients for a healthy glowing complexion. I have briefly chatted about them in this post but to find out more watch this space.
