Shahnaz Loves Beauty

For those of you who haven’t heard UK brand Revolution Beauty is here in SA. Its a super affordable makeup brand which will literally send you running to Clicks to get your hands on some of the bad boy palettes, highlighters and amazing blushes. Plus for all you vegan makeup fans out there the brand is vegan and cruelty free. Now I haven’t tried all their products but I did put one of the eye shadow palettes and highlighter palettes to the test. Super impressed with the pigmentation and how it looks on me. As you can see the colours are super pretty and I am glowing like a princess.

For the pricing you are basically looking at from R79.95 – R350 which is amazing. The most expensive palette is R350 but the one I am chatting about here is only R250 (crazy right??). This palette is called Life on the Dance Floor in guest List and its all about pretty summer peaches and warm rusty/red shades. The shades are super blendable with a mix of shimmer and matte. You get 24 shades in total for such a ridiculously cheap price which did make me sceptical at first. However I was pleasantly surprised and how nice the shades blend and look on.

The highlighter palette the Ultra Pro Glow is really gorgeous retailing at R230. The pigmentation is amazing and the shades are so pretty which you can use all year round. In my eyes its much better than the NYX offering with better shades. The glow is unbelievable and definitely worth purchasing.

OK so here I created a really easy look using 4 shades from the palette. I kept it summery and warm and its just super easy to create. You need a couple blending brushes, a flat brush for the lids and a pencil brush to apply the highlighter into the inner corners and under the brow bone.

I used this warm red shade and blended into the crease then I took the matt maroon shade and then blended in the outer corner just to add the depth and definition.

I used the bronze shade for the bottom lash line so it wasn’t too bold but still adds something to the eyes.

Then the champagne shade was applied into the inner corners and the brow bone to give the eyes a more wide awake look. I applied some mascara but from a different brand to finish off the eyes

For the highlighter I took the golden shade and applied on top of my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose. Seriously I am so in love with this palette.

Et voila the finished look super pretty with a gorgeous glow (I did add a nude lip but again a different brand).

I really love the warm colours and I love the textures. I definitely want to test out the foundations/concealers plus they have some amazing blush palettes too. Available at selected Clicks stores definitely worth checking out.

Also check out their insta account makeuprevolutionsa and see for yourself what the brand has to offer.

Happy shopping.
