The latest instalment of What’s in My Beauty Bag is with the lovely Candice-Lee Beauty Blogger of In My Bag and as well as a Fashion Stylist. I was very excited to get an insight into Candice’s makeup bag as she is the ex beauty editor for Fairlady Magazine so she knows her stuff and has tried pretty much most products. On top of that she will be a beauty judge for the Elle Magazine Beauty Awards this year so take note ladies.
This look is all about a fresh sunkissed face and a beautiful red lip to give that flawless skin that Candice-Lee always has. So here’s a sneek peak:
Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day-Glow BB :This is the best BB cream I’ve tried. I love the way it covers imperfections, while adding a gorgeous glow to my complexion. The formula protects my skin with an SPF30 and is longwearing for up to eight hours.
Smashbox BB Cream Eyes: Because I don’t suffer with very prominent dark circles, I prefer a sheer formula and find that this BB eye cream really fits the bill. I like its creamy, bendable texture and the fact that it doesn’t settle into fine lines. But the best thing about it is that it protects the delicate eye area with an SPF 15.
Nars Blush in ‘Orgasm’: This cult-classic gives my cheeks the perfect flush of natural looking colour.
Clarins Rouge Prodige in 121 Red Prodige: I love red lips but find, as I get older, I need a longwearing formula that won’t bleed into vertical lip lines. The only issue is that most longwearing formulas dry the lips. Not so with this one – it offers rich colour, glorious shine and stays put for hours while nourishing my lips.
Chanel Le Volume De Chanel mascara in Noir: Chanel makes brilliant mascaras and this one is a new favourite. It really adds volume and length to my lashes.
Chanel Soleil Tan Luminous Bronzing Powder in ‘sable Beige’: I love love how this one imparts a subtle, sun-kissed glow to my face. I apply it with a Kabuki brush, in the shape of a 3, on either side of my face.
Clarins Limited edition 3-Dot Liner: Such a brilliant concept! This liner really takes the difficulty out of drawing the perfect line. You simply dot along the upper lash line until you have your desired effect.
Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossamer in 367: Can you tell yet that I have a weakness for Chanel make-up? Even though this gloss looks dark in the tube, it coats the lips in a very subtle veil of colour – very close to the actual colour of my lips. It’s easy to apply without a mirror (making it perfect for a on-the-go woman like myself) and is not too sticky.
If you staring at the beautiful makeup bag like I am its made by Kelly Bloom who makes beautiful bags and definitely think I will be needing one of these and going to try the Clarins red lippie as my staple makeup look is a red lip.
Thanks Candice-Lee for sharing with us and if you haven’t checked out her blog then go to www.inmybag.co.za.
