So each week I promise to share what’s currently in my makeup bag for the week. What I am loving and what I am testing out. So here is this weeks what’s in my makeup bag:
Body Shop Insta Blur All-In-One R199: The latest edition to the Body Shop I was very excited to try as so far I have been really impressed with their makeup products. The instablur is a 5 in 1 action perfector promising to have a 12 hour shine control, pore smoothing, blemish hiding, complexion unifying and makeup extending. Its a unique formula with mattifying powders and Vitamin E to keep skin moisturised. When you apply with fingers you can feel how light it is on the skin and leaves a smooth velvet finish. Once you apply makeup it looks pretty flawless and because skin is mattified it definitely keeps makeup on longer. The one beauty tip is make sure your skin is really hydrated as you don’t want it to look dry.
Revlon Age Defying Targeted Spot Concealer R138: I have been using this concealer all week not for targeted dark spots but for under my eyes, there have been some bad reviews on the concealer but personally I have really liked it for my skin. I apply with the sponge applicator 3 dots under each eye and then blend and its covered my dark circles and hasn’t felt dry at all. I quite like this product but I think they key is to make sure you have prepped the under eye area.
Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener: I love Bobbi makeup and I have needed some extra concealing boost this week. I apply the eye brightener before I conceal as it helps reduce the dark circles and helps even out the skin making me look more refreshed. Its not a concealer because of its peach tones it helps neutralise the dark circles so when concealer is applied there is no darkness coming through.
Clinique Cheek Pop Berry Pop R300: The packaging is just so pretty and one I can’t stop looking at. Its highly pigmented so make sure you start with as little product first and build up. Its a great way to add some colour to your face and really brighten everything up, perfect with a dewy foundation, lots of mascara and a pretty pink lip.
Gosh BB Powder R150: The BB powder is the latest in Gosh’s makeup offering. I landed on my desk a while ago but I have been using it all of this week and I really like it. The powder is very light on the skin and super smooth and really sets your foundation with a beautiful matt finish or you can use in combination with a BB cream if you want to go for a more natural finish.
Hope you all had a great week.
